Sunrise on the Megunticook

Stay was great! The place was very clean and cozy. All rooms have a heater/AC unit so it's a great place to stay for all seasons. It's near a little park and faces the water. The place was also well equipped with cooking supplies. I loved that they had a stargazer and board games to play! Owners were also very responsive!

Stayed here to have a quick getaway to Camden. It's such a cute rental. The decor gives a comfortable and relaxing vibe. I especially enjoyed how the house is set up to make the most of the view of the lake, both inside and outside. I spent a lovely afternoon and early evening on the deck with wine and snacks enjoying the view. All the furniture is comfortable, especially the beds and pillows. As someone who loves to cook, the kitchen is well stocked with solid basics and decent cookware. Very pleased there were food storage containers. I really enjoyed the attention to small details here. For example, the power outlets attached to the side of the headboard in the bedroom. It's a tiny little thing but it makes charging a phone by the bed overnight so easy instead of a hassle before bed. The location is lovely to be in a peaceful spot, but still just a few minutes away from the charming Camden downtown. The hosts are super responsive to questions, which was good because at the time of my visit there wasn't a paper or digital guide or welcome booklet that covers operating appliances, recommendations for the area, or quirks of the house. They have some new appliances that I couldn't quite figure out on my own, so I had to contact them. A truly minor drawback. All in all, a great rental and I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Sunrise on the Megunticoook in May of 2025 with my wife, and it was an absolutely perfect for visiting and exploring the mid-coast area. The unit was well furnished, with plenty of space and equipment (kitchen appliances & utensils). Two beds also gives ample space to spread out or travel with others (friends / family). There is also plenty to do - games, television, outdoor space, etc. However, the crown jewell is the view out over the lake - both from the main room and the outside deck. While it's not right in downtown, it's very close - so you get all the benefits of the proximity without paying the inflated cost of being in the busy city center.

It's a cute and cozy place to stay when visiting Camden, Maine. I love the overlook of the lake. The decor and cleanliness was awesome. It's also close to the activities and restaurants that we wanted to visit. I would definitely stay here again!

Lors de notre premier week-end en famille dans le Maine, nous avons posé nos valises dans cette magnifique maison en bord de lac. Ce fut un week-end extrêmement reposant dans la nature avec de superbes sentiers pour se promener mais également en bord d’océan qui nous a fait le plus grand bien ! On recommande à 100% cette magnifique place !!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful place. The cabin was very clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with everything we needed to feel at home. The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful, and one of the best parts was waking up to the peaceful sound of the small river running along the side of the house when window was slightly open. Enjoying coffee on the deck while taking in the view was so relaxing and special close to so many activities... It was the perfect cozy getaway, and we would definitely love to come back!
