Rating
Our family of 10 had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Sullivan. The location was perfect, tucked away on a quiet road with beautiful views, making it a peaceful place to come back to after busy days exploring Acadia National Park. The house itself was spacious and comfortably accommodated our entire group. Having plenty of bedrooms meant everyone had their own space, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals together. We also appreciated the generous supply of towels and toiletries, which made settling in even easier. One of our favorite aspects was the history of the home. Knowing it was built in 1910 gave it so much character and charm while still providing all the modern conveniences we needed. The only surprise during our stay was that there was some construction taking place on the property. It would have been nice to have a heads-up before arriving. That said, the workers were incredibly friendly and respectful, and the noise was minimal, so it never significantly impacted our stay. Overall, this was an excellent home for a large family gathering, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, charming home base for exploring Downeast Maine and Acadia.
Loved location and roomy accommodations but the rodent droppings were a bit disconcerting.
Location is great Needs AC on hot days
Beautiful, comfortable, historic house. We stayed for 3 nights and trekked into Bar Harbor and Acadia. It would be a nice place to stay for a chill getaway/friend/family. Lots of communal space. Fresh flowers on the porch were a lovely touch. My ten year loved playing hide and seek, lots of places to hide here!
Loved the house and the view from the front porch. Found out after we got there that the lake is not accessible from this house. It is in another person's property. The house is very well equipped for a large group (we were 9).
