The Creek

The home was beautiful and met all our needs. The kitchen was a bit hard to maneuver and small, but we managed! We knew they had just changed management companies so some things were beyond the new management abilities to adjust right away. But we were flexible and patient so know it will only get better! Please remind guests to bring bug spray for ticks---the field in front of the house is loaded with them. Not the owners fault, but a very helpful tip to share with new guests.

The Creek was the perfect spot for our visit to Castine, ME. The setting is beautiful, our host was communicative and responsive and the home is cozy and roomy at the same time. It felt like we were in a cabin with no one nearby. I can't recommend this home enough-we hope to have the chance to book it again!

Private location with a great property and excellent beach access with plenty of wildlife. Had Harbor Seals barking on some of the rocks immediately offshore, group of Pileated Woodpeckers spent some time with us along with the usual Gulls, Herons and several families of deer in early AM and PM. Great access to Castine and other Upper Downeast Maine towns.

Private, open access to bay and quiet

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this gorgeous property! The views were stunning and incredibly relaxing, and the house itself is beautifully charming – it truly feels like a well-loved home. We particularly enjoyed the artwork throughout, which we believe was created by the homeowner. The space was perfect for our mini-family reunion of seven people. Our six-year-old loved the couch, though we adults found it a bit less comfortable and opted to sit elsewhere – that would be our only minor suggestion for improvement. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. We'd love to return in the future! A special mention for Chuck and Mary, who we had the pleasure of meeting – such lovely, welcoming people. Highly recommended!
