Absolutely a tranquil haven! We saw moose swimming across the water right from the living room couch. Beautiful place and the location just adds to it!
The pictures do not even do the view justice! It was fantastic. The trek down to the lake is quite extensive especially for little ones or anyone not sure footed. Once you get to the lake, you are greeted by another amazing view. The dock was perfect for our family of 4. We would certainly return again.
The location was great, far enough from town to enjoy the peace and quiet of the great Maine woods, stocked with plenty of amenities to enjoy your stay and not feel the need to leave. Minus the couple of hiccups with off the grid living we were pretty happy with our stay.
The beds are comfortable. The kitchen seemed to be missing a few things. The place is spotless. The notice that early checkin was available took awhile to get. The construction and use of explosives was a little disruptive to the peace and quiet and absolute serenity of the place - well not absolute because of the intermittent construction noises. Would have liked better checkout instructions re: trash and used linens. Overall loved it and would stay again.
It’s a beautiful home. Very secluded. Wish we time to just enjoy the home but we were up and out early for scheduled things.
The house is beautiful with a lot of space. The location offers a tranquil, quiet place to be, and a beautiful view. Far enough from the hussle and noise of town, but close enough to everything you may need.
