Come and experience a tranquil and unique getaway at this multi-level home in Southwest Harbor! The home has two separate units side by side, sharing a middle wall in a duplex-style layout. You'll be just a short drive from beautiful Acadia National Park, where you can hike its many breathtaking trails and take in the sights. Stroll down to the beach and relax with a cold drink in hand as you soak up the sun. The Claremont Hotel is right next door, with fantastic dining options, a small bakery, and a bar. Other great local attractions include Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, Bar Harbor Whale Watch, Acadian Boat Tours, Wild Gardens of Acadia, and Bubble Rock.

When you step inside, you'll be greeted by a rustic ambiance and gorgeous wooden accents throughout. Unwind and make lasting memories in the welcoming living room, furnished with comfy sofas, a wood stove to keep you warm, plenty of books, and a TV with cable. At mealtime, whip up something special in the well-appointed kitchen, and coffee lovers will appreciate the Keurig. Head out to the deck for outdoor dining and a gas grill, the perfect setting for summertime barbecues! There are two bedrooms on the lower level and more on the upper level.

This home has two units that share a middle wall, similar to a duplex. Please be mindful of noise out of respect for guests next door.

The Claremont Hotel is right next door, so guests may hear some noise from hotel activities, events, and visitors.

Southwest Harbor is our favorite spot in Acadia and this home was in a perfect location with it's own private beach - such a luxury! Lots of room for our party of 7, a lovely deck overlooking the beach, and the added bonus of the Claremont right next door.

We had a wonderful 7 days at Clarkside. We were a group of 5 adults and 2 kids. My parents took the downstairs twin room, my sister had the queen room, my kids had the upstairs twin and my husband and I were in the upstairs king. I thought the pictures and 3d tour were spot on! The view is amazing! Each day at low tide, we’d take the little path down to the beach and look for shells. We saw a deer on a few of the mornings. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with. The home is so close to Acadia. We spent most our days at the park. We had yucky weather one of the days, but made the most of it with a fire in the wood stove fireplace and puzzles. The home is also right across the street from Claremont hotel…my husband and I walked over to their bar and had some wine and shared a charcuterie and my parents ate dinner at Little Fern restaurant. They said dinner there was a little pricy for what you get, but it was good. We also ate at Beals, Thurston and the Travelin Lobster to get our lobster fixes! All amazing! Just a few pointers for future guests…the gps will take you to the birdhouse unit. We arrived when it was dark and rainy so it was hard to see where to park for Clarkside. We didn’t notice there are little signs on trees that mark where to go, so follow the signs that say Clarkside. For groceries, Southwest Foodmart IGA is close and will have everything you need. The house had a cooler to use in the closet on the main floor, so it’s easy to pack your lunch for picnics in the park. We had brought our own cooler. We loved Acadia and would definitely recommend Clarkside to stay!
