Overview
A gorgeous setting awaits at this secluded, lakefront home on the shores of South Pond. This is a perfect place for long, relaxing days spent swimming, kayaking, bass fishing, and boating from the private dock at the water’s edge.
This quiet, waterfront home sits at the end of a mile-long country road in Warren with South Pond (548 acres) outside the back door. It’s a serene location that’s close to some of the most beloved towns and scenery of Mid-coast Maine, with Camden, Rockport, and Rockland within a 13-mile drive. Bring your own watercraft at the local boat launch (one mile), attend the lively Maine Lobster Festival (nine miles), take a day trip out to Monhegan Island from Port Clyde (19 miles), or hike one of Mid-coast Maine’s hundreds of public trails.
Thanks to the wonderful afternoon sunshine that the property receives, you’ll delight in lounging on the deck and taking in the lakefront view. Light the gas grill each evening for a barbecue dinner and count the stars in the night sky from a seat by the outdoor firepit while listening to the loon’s cry. There's plenty of wildlife in the area, including rabbits, raccoons, deer, owls, ducks, and even a pair of bald eagles that call South Pond their home.
Step inside and find a space that’s warm, comfortable, and familiar with generous windows framing the lake out back. Store your groceries in the updated kitchen cabinets, gather around the farm table for meals and family board games in the evenings, enjoy the walkout basement game room with TV and comfy lounging, or curl up with a good book in the study. There are two queen-sized bedrooms upstairs with a full, recently updated bathroom and a full-sized bedroom and study with a pull-out twin-sized bed downstairs. The downstairs also has a full, recently renovated bathroom with a tub and shower for those who prefer soaking after a challenging day hike up Mount Battie.
Additional home conveniences include a private washer/dryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, and mini-splits for heating and air conditioning.

Very peaceful and quiet setting, dock and lake view was very enjoyable, beds were comfortable and enough for 9 people. We enjoyed our stay.
My husband, our two dogs, and I stayed in Warren for vacation for almost a week. We loved the home and private location and the view of the pond. The bedrooms and beds were wonderful. Listening to the loons, watching them fish every day, watching a neighborhood bald eagle was magical. We absolutely loved the dock and could have happily spent hours sitting there every day. The house was thoughtfully laid out and the bedrooms were absolutely beautiful and the beds. The living room furniture was not very comfortable. Overall, we loved the place and hope to stay there again next year. Thank you to the hosts.
Lake was very quiet and the location was great. Close to the coast and numerous activities. Lack of a swimming area was disappointing.
This home has so much potential! The location is gorgeous and a great home base to explore the midcoast. The house needs a little TLC though. Looks like the renovation is still a work in progress and we needed to do some cleaning - especially the outdoor furniture. BUT - mornings on the pier were pretty incredible. Very quite location.
It is secluded on a private dirt road one mile off Route 1. It is only about 25 minutes to restaurants and sights on the Atlantic coast. Plenty of wild life as we saw turkeys, deer, chipmunks, and bald eagles. Alsi, the loones sign for you every morning and evening. Lived the deck for morning coffee and evening grilling. Owners live close by and fixed something very quickly. We had a great stay!
We loved this house and property. Very private and secluded house with a great dock. Loved the fire pit area and listening to the loons off the dock.
