We've been coming to Maine and specifically to Westport Island, usually staying in a larger house located on the northern part of the island with family and friends for many years. This time it was just the two of us, so we were looking for something smaller and still be on Westport Island. The cottage fit the bill perfectly. It was quiet, there was lots of wildlife around us, and the adirondack chairs down near the bay was the perfect place to watch the sunset. Westport Island is such a great place as a base to explore Maine, that we were quite happy to have found this place.

Loved the environment and potential for nature interaction. The water always has something going on. Sunsets were magical. Beautiful colors over and on the water.

The view was good. I chose the Periwinkle because it was the closest to The Taste of Maine Restaurant, which we visited all three days. We worked off the meals at the Bath YMCA, which is also nice. The Booth Bay Region is picturesque.
