We had a great stay for a few days while exploring Acadia. We had a little problem with the heat, but when I messaged, the response was very quick and they had someone out to help us. We loved this place and would definitely stay there again!
Nice place in the country. Had turkey and deer on the property.
The place was conveniently located to Bar Harbor. About a 20 minute drive.
The cabin is newly built with a nice modern design, and it definitely has potential. That said, a few things made our stay less comfortable than we’d hoped. The lighting is all bright overhead fixtures with no dimmers, which made the space feel a bit stark—we ended up moving the nightstand lamps to the dining area for a warmer atmosphere. There was also a large lamp but no batteries provided. Some basics were also missing. The BBQ didn’t have utensils, so we bought our own, and the duvet didn’t have a cover when we arrived. We were told one would be delivered a few days later, but it never came, so we found a spare set in a drawer and made the bed ourselves. The shower curtain also had a strong mildew smell—we washed it in the tub and laid it in the sun to air out. Another drawback was ongoing construction of a nearby cabin, only about 200 feet away. We could clearly hear hammering and banging starting as early as 7:30 a.m., which made mornings less peaceful. Also worth noting: the only bathroom is on the first floor, so if you’re using the primary bedroom upstairs, you’ll need to go down the stairs at night to use the toilet. The furnishings are on the minimal side—the sofa isn’t very comfortable, and the nicest chair is placed right under the large TV, which feels a little awkward. Overall, the cabin could be a great stay with its new build and location, but it really needs more attention to comfort, cleanliness, and guest details.
We loved the private location and the fire pit. Marlboro Beach was close. The house overall is very cute but the property was not maintained. Items broken and not fixed for our arrival.
Loved the peace in the trees at this home. Close enough to drive to Acadia every day and enjoy the park. Fire pit, laundry and all the comforts of home!
