Enjoyed kayaking, dog loved it. Steps to upstairs were impossible for me and my mom. Kids were ok with them. Those were the only problems.
Beautiful views and cute little house right on the lake! The dogs loved swimming in the lake and running around the property. Had everything we needed and it was so fun to listen to the loons on the lake
Everything
This rental was a wonderful place to enjoy beautiful views in a quiet, cozy home.
Nice little cabin tucked away. We had four people and hot water was a bit of issue for showers. We ended up having 2 shower at night and 2 in morning. Cabin had all the necessities, except forks, only 3. I would highly recommend having a 4x4 vehicle to get back to cabin. Fairly, deep dip that was filled with water that came up to bottom of doors. We had to drive high up on edge of dirt road in the brush to not bottom out with my car. The middle of road is much higher then sides. Impossible to get our car thru just driving in middle of it. Cabin was fine, you need to let people know about the road back to cabin is not car friendly at all.
This home was disgusting. We tried to sleep downstairs on the big bed. It is the cheapest bed that had bent legs and missing a screw so we didn’t feel safe sleeping on it. The second night we decided to try one of the beds upstairs. When going to check the beds for stability we found a dirty condom on the floor right in front of the bed. Slept in the other bedroom with the balcony. The bedding smelt like mice pee. There were mice running and scratching in the walls all night. There were dead bugs in the corners of the rooms. There was a dirty bandage in the living room. We were excited to use the kayaks… but then disappointed because there were 2 kayaks but only one paddle so we could not kayak together. The view is really nice though. Great location. Only an hour from Bangor and 40 mins from Acadia. Nice fire pit outside and outdoor dining table.
