Dream Harbor Cottage is the coastal escape we’ll be raving about for years. This VRBO waterfront charmer delivers everything its name promises and more: a beauty with a bay facing porch, panoramic harbor vistas, and sunrises that turn the sky into a watercolor masterpiece. Inside, it's cozy. The room heater did not disappoint, keeping The main-floor and upstairs bedroom toasty and warm, but it's the loft bedroom that's the showstopper… with a caveat. Those steep, ship-ladder stairs are not for the faint of heart, young kids, or anyone with mobility concerns. Think authentic captain’s quarters—charming, but a workout at 2 a.m. for a glass of water! Once up top, though, the bed facing wide views of the bay make it worth the climb for able-bodied adventurers. Watch your head getting in and out of bed too! That ceiling is low! A small work desk is up top too. AC is smartly located on the top level as well, but we did not have to use it. Lots of electrical outlets throughout the house made charging up a breeze. Every detail screams care: spotless, lightning-fast Wi-Fi, Stream-enabled TV. Pro tip: Book this place for your all day trips to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The 45 minute drive goes fast on highways with no traffic. We’re already planning round two. 🦞🌊
We loved the feeling of being on our own little remote beach with spectacular bay views, and waking up to the view from the loft. We stopped in Surry for food for our 2 night stay. Excellent place for us to recharge in the middle of our 11 day trip up the Maine coast.
Small but functional. Right on the beach on union bay. We kayaked out the door which was great. Great view from comfortable queen bed in loft. Stairs are crazy steep but doable. Cooked meals easily there. There’s a picnic table outside and a card table inside to eat at. No problems. Ate next door at Perry’s and took a puffin watch ride
The house is so close to the water we could hear the water hit the shore at high tide. Low tide opened the beach for walks. Perfectly peaceful week and it was a two minute walk to the lobster shack.
Cute cottage along the water with great views. Private area to eat or watch the boats go by or catch a seal playing. Lobster shack next door for easy dining. This cottage would be a great getaway for two. The steps up to the bed are steep but worth the sunrise views. Well stocked with pots and pans to make meals.
Small and efficient cabin with fantastic views of the ocean. Met the owners who were very helpful with what to see and where to go. Would definitely stay here again!4
