Room was mostly very comfy. Was clean and the showers worked well. The private wifi was slow/intermittent so had to use public. The AC units were so loud we had to turn them off and rely on ceiling fans at night.
This place was very nice in a cool area. The lace downstairs is good food and the area is fun, close to Acadia NP
Lots of fun, great location, great place for our family of five
I won't come back to this one. It wasn't awful but it wasn't great either. Lots of steps, hot hallway, noisy AC units.
Highly recommended but know what to expect. Pros: super quiet. We slept with the windows open and heard no sounds all night. The town is quaint with not much going on, but a short drive to the park. Beds were comfy, and the pillows were fantastic. Bathroom was very nice. Rooms were fine. Very good but not 5-star. 1 minute walk for coffee and breakfast. Cons: no stove or dining table so not great for dining in. Very limited restaurant selection nearby. Minimal amenities (e.g., no free coffee) although there are dishes.
Lovey little town and the Colonel Suites 4 & 5 served as a perfect place for our two couples to stay and to explore ALL of Acadia and surroundings.
The kitchenette does not have a stove which we worked around. There was not seating for the 4 of us in one place (maybe they could add two folding chairs?). The water pipes in 5 "sang" with every flush of the toilet and the toilet in 4 had a water loose water tank. Hot water temperture was a a few tads above warm. Oddly, a new sofa was delivered to the suite while we were out one day. I was surprised we did not know people would be in our rooms delivering a sofa while we were out.
With a few tweeks and a bit more maintenance, it would be perfect place for two couples traveling together to stay while visiting Acadia.
