Ideal location to see Acadia and explore other parts of Maine. Cute older house
Property was very nice, and located in a quiet riverside town just under an hour from Bar Harbor, Bangor, and Acadia. This place is excellent for the outdoor tourist or enthusiast that doesn't want to spend a fortune on lodging.
Close to everything could use a railing on the stairs
Bucksport is quite convenient for access to sights and activities on both sides of Penobscot Bay, Bangor, and Acadia. It also has several attractions itself which are worth spending a couple of days close to "home." The house is set up comfortably. Be aware that you may have neighbors upstairs during your stay. If you're accustomed to apartment living, it'll be familiar.
Apartment was clean and in a very nice neighborhood. Nice places to walk.
House was situated just off main street and the river had beautiful views of Penobscot Narrows Observatory and Fort Knox, which you could see from the property. Plenty of driveway parking. Very nicely maintained first floor duplex in the heart of town. Perfect spot for those going up and down the coast. Would definitely go back!
