Everything is right outside the door, especially the ground floor where we could put our XC skis on under cover and be on the lake immediately! This was our primary goal, to ski every day on the lake with no hills. We also went to the local ski area where, they also had XC ski trails for a small donation as well as at the visitors center. Both of these just a few miles away. Though we weren’t there to fish, Bob houses and snowmobiling were also just out the door.

This is the second time we rented this house and loved it both times. You are 12 minutes from town, about 30 to really good hikes. Fishing is great everywhere. Love the lake access. House is designed great if you have dogs- metal screen over siding door screens and rubber grips on stairs. The staff was ver accommodating and quick to respond when i left an item in the house after chevkout. They helped me get my item quickly before new renters came. Highly recommend.

Great home w/ easy walk to water. Very relaxing set-up and very comfortable. Great place for family to gather & have a fun vacation get-a-way. Thank you.

My three teenagers and I stayed at Owl's Nest for a quiet reprieve weekend after the busy holidays. We loved it! The kids spent time on the ice, playing games, watching movies, and we all found space to do a puzzle together as well. The home was just big enough that they had their own space when I wanted quiet time to read, but cozy enough that we were always comfortably together. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the lake is, of course, such a beautiful view out the windows. Thank you for the stay!

We love the privacy and coziness of The Owl's Nest. The camp is well furnished and very clean. We look forward to out visit every year!

This house had well maintained and easy access to Wilson Pond. We very much enjoyed the quiet and listening to the loons. Loved the view of the pond from the house. Kitchen amenities were more than sufficient, and we were close enough to town if we needed something but far enough away to feel that we were way out in the wilderness. We can't wait to stay here again! Best house we've stayed in in Moosehead Lake region yet .
