The town of castine. Especially danny murphy's pub. And breakfast burritos on the dock in the harbor.
The location of this suite couldn’t be better. It’s in the middle of downtown Castine near the water.
Cute little apartment. Ironing board, but no iron. No coffee maker, and it took three days to finally have one dropped off. No mirror in the bathroom. Incompletely equipped kitchen. Marginal water flow in the shower. Bed tolerably comfortable. The apartment was quiet. All of the shortcomings would be forgiven if the price was not so proud, but at $260/day the shortcomings seem especially irksome.
This second story apartment was perfect for my wife and me. It was clean and tidy and cute. We were impressed with cleanliness and that is saying something since we are both sensitive to this and don't feel comfortable in a place that is dirty or grimy. The Apt., was well stocked with appliances and had everything we needed. It is perfectly located on Maine Street which is never that busy but is the heart of town, with a short walking distance to shops, the harbor, golf course, etc. We would rate this 5 stars except that there is no mirror in the bathroom and there was not a coffee pot, although there was a tea kettle for us to heat water. We would definitely come back here.
We felt the stay very comfortable
The home had all we needed. Since the Pentagoet is next door it was perfect. Would recommend it for sure.
