Located on a gorgeous 32-acre property just 8 minutes from Franklin, The Cottage offers a serene waterfront haven. Take the canoe and kayak out on Great Pond. Enjoy alfresco meals on the deck, then gather around the firepit. This one bedroom vacation rental offers a genuine cabin feel with modern upgrades and all the comforts of home. If traveling with a larger group, consider also renting The Cabin -- located about a 10-minute walk away.

After fun-filled days, relax in the comfy living area and watch a new movie on the smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen has everything needed to create your favorite dishes. When it's time to dine, the table seats four. The Cottage has a queen bed in the bedroom and a full-size futon in the living area. The bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination. A twin bed can be found in the open loft area. The loft is accessed via a steep ladder, safety rails recently added.

The wraparound deck has incredible vistas of the surrounding woods and peekaboo lake views. Make use of the gas grill and enjoy an afternoon cookout. Enjoy starlit nights around the wood-burning firepit. This lakefront property includes the use of a canoe, kayak and paddleboard. The Cottage has a three-story layout with a ramp to the front door. Additional perks include complimentary Wi-Fi and a private washer/dryer.

Nestled on Great Pond, your vacation home offers wonderful seclusion, but is still only an 8-minute drive from Franklin and a 20-minute drive from Ellsworth. For an incredible day trip, pay a visit to Acadia National Park or Bar Harbor.

My friends and I absolutely loved this short get-away home we had on the lake. We swam in the beautiful and clear lake every chance we had, taking turns kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing too. This home has basically everything you need for the most serene time away from the city - kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, towels, sheets, blankets, cooking appliances, firepit, firewood, fire starters, outdoor grill, etc,. This unfortunately also means that the WiFi isn't gonna be good (2MPS), and there will be lots of bugs that will fly in at night if you're not careful with the doors and windows. But even without the bugs flying in (which is natural and comes with living in the woods), the house also seems to be lacking a little bit of TLC when it comes to cleanliness - there were cobwebs in many nooks and crannies around the house, and insects smeared on the walls in the bathroom and kitchen. Other than those 2 points, I do want to iterate that it was a perfect spot, and we are excited to be come back again :)

Very private rustic cabin with a nice view of the lake.

Such a lovely little cottage in the woods. Very private but not too far of a drive off the main road. We sat on the dock for almost the whole day and never saw anyone else out on the lake. Perfect place for a family or couple or an individual to relax and connect with nature and play on the water. Beware the water is freezing and the wifi does not work.
