Rating
This house had everything we needed, was clean and walkable to town. You're close enough to town it's an easy walk to restaurants and coffee (Choco-latte!) but also could walk to a trail and feel like you're right up against the edge of the woods.
Pros: Good location Laundry Woods behind the place for kids to play in. Cons: everything else Weird smell Uncomfortable bed that sags in Dents and holes in wall AC only upstairs No grill
The owners of this place need to stay here for a week and get the full experience. There were so many basic things that were missing (no hangers in any of the closets, no hair dryers, no batteries to replace the dead ones in the tv remote and wall clock, no ice cube trays). The beds and couches were incredibly uncomfortable. The bathtubs did not drain properly and filled up to your ankles even in a quick shower. Some of the blinds did not work in the bedrooms, and very hot upstairs with no AC and noisy ceiling fans. Duct tape on the microwave. Not cleanly. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place; many improvements are needed.
Location was wonderful! Easy and quick walk to town but secluded enough to give you privacy and quietness.
House upstairs smelled like dog and dirty feet . Stains on the carpet , blinds that did not roll up / work in the master . Mattress in master was like a rock . Owners need to stay at their place to understand why these things need to be changed . Downstairs couch was uncomfortable and place needs a broom and febreeze . Weird rotten smell downstairs . Deserves 3 stars only bc of location to town
The location of the property was excellent! Within walking distance of the harbor, downtown, and Acadia National park. We loved that we had 3 bathrooms to use to get ready everyday:)
