The three of us were staying in Maine for a short golf getaway and this charming camp was perfect for us. While it’s an older structure, it’s been very well maintained and was set up in a way to maximize its benefits. Perched right on the New Meadows river, the views overlooking the water were priceless. As an early riser, I was outside on the dock with my morning coffee watching and listening to the sounds of nature waking up. The massive wraparound screened porch was a big hit as well. While the mosquitos aren’t nearly as prevalent this time of the year, we appreciated the protection offered by the screens. As I stated above, this is an older camp…built in the late 19th century…so be sure to set realistic expectations. The four spacious bedroooms upstairs were very comfortable, though without insulation sounds will travel throughout the house. The bathroom, which was on the first floor, appeared to be a later addition to the camp. Topping things off is the location. While it’s in a very quiet, remote part of West Bath, you’re only 10 - 15 minutes away from downtown Bath and Brunswick.
Great rustic charm with even better sunsets!!
this beautiful home was exactly as built and a perfect place for five women friends of 35 years to have a weekend reunion. We would love to come back again.
Lovely view and spacious home, but needs some upkeep.
Very rustic cabin with great water access and good sunset views.
We spent a long fall weekend on guy’s trip. It was perfect for us. Great fire pit, dock, and easy access to hikes through Hamilton Audubon Park.
