Overview
Enjoy gorgeous views of the Sasanoa River (also known as Robinhood Cove) and the surrounding foliage of Midcoast Maine when you stay at this beautiful Georgetown home, a secluded waterfront getaway with a deep water dock and a wrap-around deck.
Stunningly positioned on a large peninsula property only 200 feet from the calm, saltwater cove's edge, this two-level home is just five miles from the town of Georgetown and the Josephine Newman Audubon Sanctuary, nine miles from the historic city of Bath, and 10 miles from the lovely seascapes of Reid State Park.
With towering knotty pine ceilings and three walls of windows, the bright and airy great room was designed to maximize the stunning river view. Curl up in the window seat as you watch for wildlife in the surrounding woods, or sit down with a favorite book for some quiet time.
After a day of kayaking on the Sasanoa River or strolling along Mile Beach in Reid State Park, gather your family for a movie night in front of the flatscreen TV, VCR, and DVD player. Upload some pictures of you on the water over the WiFi.
Pick up some fresh local steamers and lobsters from the legendary Five Islands Lobster Co. and prepare a seafood feast in the spacious full kitchen. You'll have plenty of cabinet space to store your groceries, as well as a dishwasher to take care of the clean-up.
There is seating for eight around the dining table in the great room, but you'll spend most of the summer and fall around the patio table on the deck. Launch your kayak from the dock to enjoy an invigorating morning paddle, watch the kids as they play tag on the grass, or soak in the sun from a seat on the deck.
With two bedrooms and a loft, this home can sleep as many as six guests. You'll find a queen-size bed and a twin in the master bedroom, as well as direct access to the deck. The loft offers another queen-size bed, while the guest room on the main floor has two double beds.
The main floor also features one full bathroom, two half-baths, and a private washer/dryer for your convenience.
Celebrated by birders, fishermen, and artists for decades, the island of Georgetown offers a glimpse of Midcoast Maine at its best. Enjoy views of the Cuckolds Light, the Hendricks Head Light, and Seguin Island Light Station from Reid State Park, or set sail to reach the point where the Sheepscot River meets the great Atlantic Ocean.
Come and experience the beauty of Midcoast Maine - a stay at this wonderful Georgetown home will become a tradition for years to come!

The feeling of isolation was wonderful, the setting was beautiful and peaceful.
What a great place for a quiet vacation. We kayaked, read and watched a mother deer and her fawn come through twice a day. It was a good location to travel to both Freeport and Boothbay for days activities. It is a place I could return to.
If you want peace and quiet this is the place to rent. Plenty of space there were four of us. I like how the bathrooms were set up. Plenty of games in the house. Boothbay Maine was a great place to vacation!
The house is well equipped, and has a great sense of privacy. The screened porch was a lovely spot for lunch. Enjoyed coffee on the dock in the morning, too!
I have mixed feelings about this property. The grounds are absolutely incredible. It fronts the water (which by the way was NOT ocean-front, but on a river flowing to the ocean). The kids loved to see the variations in the tide. We saw great blue heron, cormorants and gulls hanging out nearby. We saw what we think was an Osprey swoop by and grab a fish. Maybe some seals? Swimming by. Such a beautiful place. Mature trees, a mowed area, great decks and views from several rooms. On the downside, this was not a spotless place. The whole house could use a good scrubbing. Many of the blinds were dirty and probably should be replaced. We could hear rodents at night and when using the hose reel on the back deck, dislodge a mouse from his nest there.
We loved the location of this retreat! We ranged in ages from 4 to 66 and this was an amazing place for us to stay. A great sized yard area for playing, great porch including the screened in porch section, and great open area inside as well as great bed rooms. Also an incredible trail system that we spent hours exploring on with the kids. I highly recommend staying here and plan to come back!
