Close to town. Easy .3 mile walk to town. Safe location but isolated. Very good WIFI connection and good TV channels. Safe and secure onsite parking. Owner provided lots of soap, toilet tissue, and shampoo/conditioner. Interior is shabby and outdated which feels very “cheap-motel ish” for $500 a night. Back door was broken so couldn’t use back entrance or porch. No upstairs AC and half the windows wouldn’t open. It was 80 upstairs which is uncomfortable sleeping temperatures. It did cool down at night but our neighbors were burning so we had to shut the windows. Kitchen had k-cup coffee pot only. No drip coffee maker. In general unimpressed with this unit. But bar harbor was a beautiful town.
The best thing about the house is the location. It’s a short walk to town.
Liked the location of the house very much and it was very clean (in the important ways!) but there were many things broken - e.g., many window cranks, ceiling fans and ceiling lights, TVs, patio door etc. that should not have been, making the house not worth the money you were paying for it. Needs a manager to go through the house to check for all of these things. Looks like people come into clean only no management person ever checks to see if the actual conditions of the house is good.
