Overview
Two homes, one address: the main house plus a private cottage sleep up to 10 across 3 bedrooms. Your deck is a front-row seat to the Pacific, with redwood treetops below and sunsets over the water. Just two miles from Anchor Bay's restaurants and Fish Rock Beach. Sea stacks, tide pools, and harbor seals frame the coastline. Summer fog burns off by midday, leaving warm afternoons for trail hikes and tidepooling.
Sequoia Vista sits in the sunbelt of Gualala, where a canopy of redwood treetops drops away to the wide Pacific. The light here is the kind that pulls you outside — onto the deck for a slow morning, down the trail for an afternoon hike, back inside for the long quiet hours after dark. The home is tucked onto a hillside overlooking the ocean, just two miles up the road from the small town of Anchor Bay. Fish Rock Beach (two miles), downtown Gualala (five miles), the Gualala Arts Center (six miles), Gualala Point Regional Park (eight miles), and the Annapolis wineries (20 miles) are all close by. A multi-tiered deck wraps three sides of the house, putting the surroundings front and center. Sip morning coffee with the fog still on the water, linger with a book through the long afternoons, and watch the sunset light up the ocean, the sky, and the treetops below. Days move at the coast's pace — surfing or beachcombing in the morning, a glass of something cold in the afternoon, a hot shower and a soft sweater by the time the fog rolls back in at dusk. The split-level interior has been renovated throughout, with warm, natural-wood detailing, walls of glass, and a window framing the view from every level. At the heart of the house, the kitchen runs on a live-edge center island and pro-grade appliances — counter space enough for two cooks and a third pouring wine. Gather around the dining table for slow dinners and board games, sink into the sunken living room for movies on the smart TV, and turn in to bedrooms with their own bathrooms — each one steps from the deck and the view that brought you here. THE COTTAGE A few steps from the main house, the standalone cottage gives your group a second living space with its own front door. Downstairs, a sage-cabinet kitchenette with brass fixtures, microwave, and full-size fridge handles morning coffee and light meals; a sofa with a pull-out bed faces a two-top dining table, so the lower level easily flips between sitting room, breakfast nook, and a private sleeping space for two. Upstairs, a queen bed sits under a vaulted ceiling alongside a small writing desk, with a full bathroom -- walk-in tile shower, brass fixtures, terra-cotta floor -- a few steps away. A sliding door opens onto a private patio tucked into the pines, with a sectional, side table, and round dining table for private outdoor mornings, afternoon drinks, or a quiet end to the day. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The main house holds two bedrooms plus a sleeping loft with an extra bed. The cottage adds a king bed upstairs and a pull-out queen sofa bed in the downstairs living space. Altogether, the property comfortably sleeps up to 9.
