Step onto your private dock and watch the Russian River slide past while oak-covered hillsides frame the view. This modern two-bedroom retreat is split across two levels — each with its own entrance, patio, and designer bathroom — creating an intimate riverfront escape with a bocce ball court, firepit, and sit-on-top kayaks at the ready. Downtown Healdsburg and its Michelin-starred dining scene are just 2.4 miles away. River days and wine country nights start here.
This 1,000-square-foot riverfront retreat sits directly on the Russian River, configured as two stacked units connected by exterior stairs. Renovated with mid-century modern style, warm wood floors, and white walls, both levels feel bright and inviting. The upper unit greets you with vaulted ceilings and a striking suspended black fireplace. A gray sofa, leather lounge chair, and wall-mounted TV face glass doors framing forested river views. The kitchen pairs white cabinets with gray quartz countertops, a wood accent wall behind the gas range, stainless appliances, and an island with bar seating. The lower unit adds its own kitchenette. OUTDOOR LIVING Covered decks with wood slat privacy screens extend toward the river on both levels. Adirondack chairs and a firepit anchor the yard, a bocce court invites competition, and the private dock provides direct river access with a sit-on-top kayak for guest use. A gas grill makes riverside barbecues easy. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The upper unit has a king bed with upholstered headboard, ceiling fan, and built-in desk. You're on the Russian River just minutes from downtown Healdsburg — one of Sonoma County's most celebrated food and wine destinations. The Healdsburg Plaza anchors the town with walkable tasting rooms, boutiques, and galleries. For dining, Valette (2.3 mi) offers refined, Sonoma-sourced cuisine. Bravas Bar de Tapas (2.4 mi) serves Spanish small plates on a lively patio. Journeyman Meat Co. (2.4 mi) is the spot for outstanding charcuterie and sandwiches. SingleThread (2.4 mi) is a three-Michelin-starred destination for a special-occasion meal. For wine, Stuhlmuller Vineyards (1.9 mi) and Sapphire Hill Winery (2.1 mi) offer intimate tastings nearby. Del Rio Woods Regional Park (0.1 mi) is steps from the property for a quick walk, and Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach (2.1 mi) provides river swimming in summer. Shelton's Natural Foods Market (2.3 mi) is the nearest full-service grocery.
Healdsburg is about 75 minutes from San Francisco via US-101 North — a straight, scenic drive into the heart of Sonoma wine country. Parking for up to 3 vehicles in the driveway and on the street. A car is the easiest way to take in the three valleys that meet here — Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.
This property is configured as two separate units — one bedroom, bathroom, and full kitchen upstairs, and one bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and laundry downstairs. They have separate exterior entrances connected by outside stairs. The home sits directly on the Russian River with a private dock and sit-on-top kayaks — please use water equipment responsibly and at your own risk. During high-water events the lower unit can experience water intrusion — this is uncommon but worth noting during winter storm season. The primary renter must be 21 or older. Exterior security cameras are installed.

Great location and beautifully appointed
We stayed in the upper unit only. It's very nicely decorated and has everything you need for a nice stay in the area. We enjoyed watching the fog burn off in the mornings over the river. Our disappointment was lack of instructions in the binder for heating and cooling the unit. There was a single wall unit but it was not evident that there were modes for heat and the unit was very cold upon arrival and for the first night.
The house was spotless and well-designed with multiple hangout spaces. The deck had heatlamps which we appreciated at night. The view of the Russian River was spectacular and we especially liked the deck near the riverbank. Instructions for the firepits, heating / cooling and lock system would have been useful. Overall a great place and we hope to stay again.
Upon entering this home I discovered a design delight. Beautiful and thoughtful decor, comfortable bed and the view was spectacular at sunrise and sunset. I took a twilight walk under a full moon and could hear the sounds of the nearby Russian river. They thought of everything in the kitchen tools department as I found while making dinner. The coffee maker was excellent for the next morning coffee and it could only have been better if someone did it for me. C’est la vie. This little gem will definitely be on my radar next time in Healdsburg.
This is the best home away from home property that i have ever stayed. Every part of the property and interiors were so well thought of, and really loved enjoyed every part of our stay. Also the property have 2 kayaks that was really handy to enjoy the river and also having the direct access to the river was just perfect for a warm weekend.
