Overview
Wake to panoramic views of Bodega Bay stretching to the Pacific horizon from this hillside retreat. Soak under the stars in your private hot tub after exploring Doran Beach just across the street. This dog-friendly 5-bedroom home sleeps 10 — perfect for multi-generation gatherings. Walk to Pinnacle Gulch Trail (0.5 mi) or drive to Spud Point Crab Company (2.1 mi) for legendary crab sandwiches.
At Blue Horizon, mornings begin on the deck as the bay turns silver in first light, afternoons hiking the Sonoma Coast trails or walking Doran Beach, and evenings in the hot tub as the Pacific turns to gold and indigo. The top-floor great room opens to the ocean through picture windows, with a built-in window seat angled for whale-watching and morning coffee. Downstairs, a second sitting area wraps around built-in shelving, and the kitchen anchors the floor — dark grey marble counters, a gas range under a vented hood, an island that seats ten for breakfast. A light wood dining table extends the gathering, with the bay in view from nearly every seat in the house. OUTDOOR LIVING Step through glass doors to the deck where your private hot tub awaits, surrounded by privacy fencing and pink hydrangeas. A sheltered courtyard offers a peaceful morning spot, and a gas grill stands ready for sunset dinners with ocean views. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Five bedrooms across multiple levels ensure privacy. The primary suite features a king bed with a private bay-view balcony. Three additional bedrooms offer queen beds — one accessed through the garage with its own kitchenette, mini fridge, and microwave. The fifth holds a double/full bed, and one room includes a double sofa bed. Three bedrooms have en suite baths, and every room has its own TV. Total capacity: 10 guests. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Private hot tub -- Gas grill -- Multiple decks and patio areas -- 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms -- Dog-friendly (max 2 dogs) -- Smart lock entry
Pour your morning coffee in a kitchen wrapped in dark marble counters and watch the Pacific from the picture windows — when evening lands, sink into the private hot tub on the deck. You've got the whole multi-level home, dogs welcome, under vaulted white-plank ceilings. Let yourself in with the keypad code; up to four cars fit between the garage and driveway.
Perched in the Bodega Harbour community, you're perfectly positioned to explore the rugged Sonoma Coast. Walk across the street to reach the Pinnacle Gulch Trail (0.5 mi) leading down to tide pools and hidden beaches. The renowned Links at Bodega Harbour golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. is just 0.5 miles away. Drive 5 minutes to reach Bodega Bay's working harbor, where Spud Point Crab Company (2.1 mi) serves legendary Dungeness crab sandwiches and award-winning clam chowder — expect lines on weekends. Fishetarian Fish Market (1.4 mi) offers sustainable local catches, while The Boat House (2.1 mi) is perfect for BBQ oysters with your pup on their dog-friendly patio. Stock up on essentials at Diekmann's Bay Store (2.1 mi) or Pelican Plaza Grocery (2.1 mi). For morning coffee, Captain Davey's (1.3 mi) is a local favorite. Nature lovers can explore Doran Beach (0.9 mi) for family-friendly sand and calmer waters, or hike the dramatic Bodega Head trails for whale watching.
Bodega Bay is about 90 minutes from San Francisco — a beautiful drive up 101 and out Highway 1 through farmland and coastal ranches. You'll have plenty of parking with 4 spaces between the garage and driveway. A car makes exploring the Sonoma Coast effortless — it unfolds for miles in either direction. Cell service is light along the coast, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is a good idea.
The unique layout includes one bedroom suite accessed through the garage — perfect for guests wanting extra privacy, complete with its own kitchenette. The home uses electric space heaters throughout rather than central heating, which works beautifully with the coastal climate that rarely gets truly cold. While there's no air conditioning, the home stays naturally cool thanks to ocean breezes and the elevated hillside location — you'll likely need a light sweater even in summer. The multi-level design means 5-8 stairs between each level — something to consider for guests with mobility concerns. Don't miss sunset from the hot tub — watching the sky turn pink over Bodega Bay while soaking under the stars is pure magic. Pro tip: Spud Point Crab Company is cash or card, and the line moves fast despite appearances. The best weather is often September-October when fog is minimal.

The view is spectacular. And the beds are comfortable.
Beautiful home, great Location nice beautiful. Loved it
Blue Horizon is a magnificent place with a delightful surprise around every corner and level. Beautifully decorated. Comfortable. Situated perfectly. The views are breathtaking. My wife, three sons, one daughter-in-law, my grandson, and our precious dog Esmé spent two nights here and didn't want to leave. Ping-Pong tournaments, star gazing, hikes to the beach... it was all great. Almost anything you could want in a kitchen was there, and the rooms were lovely and large. I could go on. We may well be heading back sometime soon.
Amazing weekend with great whether and short walking distance to beach
This house had excellent views, especially from the 3rd floor main living area!! The beds were really comfortable. Most rooms had attached bathrooms which was nice for multiple families. We were glad we had brought our ice maker. We had a few issues but the property manager John helped make things right. He also went out of his way to drop off items we left at another house on the links.
This large house is in a great location with a terrific view. It’s well suited for large groups with ready access to the beach.
