Overview
The scent of wine country drifts through your private backyard as you line up your next bocce shot. This comfortable retreat puts you steps from Kenwood's tasting rooms — Séamus Wines and Ty Caton are just a 2-minute walk. Fire up the grill for an alfresco dinner in the enclosed yard. Room for 8 in this comfortable home with AC to beat the summer heat. Sugarloaf Ridge trails are 10 minutes away. Here in quiet Kenwood, the only agenda is which winery to visit next.
This single-story ranch home welcomes you with classic wine country comfort and generous gathering spaces. Traditional interiors pair white walls with carpet and wood-look flooring throughout. The living room centers around a white painted brick fireplace, where you settle into the gray sofa or tan armchairs around a wooden coffee table. The L-shaped kitchen features light wood cabinets, white countertops, and stainless steel appliances including a gas range, dishwasher, and microwave. Light green walls and a window over the sink brighten the space. The dining area seats your full group. OUTDOOR LIVING Multiple entertaining zones spread across the large enclosed backyard. Composite decking connects to stone patios furnished with picnic tables and wicker seating with blue accent pillows. Gather around the fire table or challenge your group on the regulation bocce ball court. Mature shade trees shelter the lawn — perfect for yard games or letting dogs roam. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master bedroom offers a king bed with white bedding and coral accents on dark wood floors. Two additional bedrooms each feature twin beds that push together as kings — flexible for families or friends. A queen sofa bed in the living room handles overflow. Sleeps 8. Spread out across a private backyard with multiple entertaining zones, then warm up by the white-brick fireplace inside this single-story Sonoma Valley ranch. You've got the whole home, dogs welcome, with a BBQ, outdoor dining, and an enclosed yard. Your check-in details land before your stay; the garage holds two cars and two more fit in the driveway.
You've landed in the heart of Kenwood wine country, where world-class tasting rooms line Highway 12 just outside your door. Walk 2 minutes to Séamus Wines or Ty Caton Vineyards for your first tasting. En Garde Winery and Hamilton Family Wines are equally close at just 0.2 miles. For morning coffee, Pillowfight Coffee is a quick 1-minute stroll. Stock up on picnic supplies at Kenwood Market, also just a 1-minute walk away. When you're ready for dinner, Stella restaurant awaits 0.2 miles down the road, or try the gastropub fare at Palooza Brewery, practically next door. For hiking adventures, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park's 25+ miles of trails are 10 minutes by car, while the closer Annadel Park (1.2 miles) offers easier access to nature. The famous Ledson Winery castle is just 2.4 miles away. Unlike bustling Sonoma town, Kenwood offers a quieter wine country experience — you're here for the vineyards themselves, not the shopping.
Kenwood is about 75 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and Highway 12 — a scenic drive through the heart of Sonoma Valley wine country. You'll have parking for up to 4 vehicles between the garage and driveway. A car makes Sonoma Valley easy to explore — tasting rooms, restaurants, and parks run up and down Highway 12. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.
The home stays naturally cool thanks to mature shade trees, though you'll appreciate the central AC during Kenwood's hot summer days when temperatures often exceed 90°F. Take advantage of the regulation bocce ball court in the backyard — it's a rare amenity that makes for memorable evening tournaments. The twin beds in both guest bedrooms can be pushed together to create king beds, giving you flexibility for different group configurations. While Kenwood offers world-class wineries, dining options are limited — plan to cook some meals using the full kitchen and gas grill, or drive 10-15 minutes to Glen Ellen or Sonoma for more restaurant choices. The primary renter must be 21 or older. Please note this property is not pet-friendly — we are unable to accommodate pets.

Great location and nice backyard for outdoor activities. House not as pictured or described, however. Front of house needs some landscaping, overgrown and the front yard is not as large as pictured. The house sits right on a street. Front door lock box needs replaced, very difficult to use and navigate, with awkward design for putting key back in. House smelled musty throughout, and especially in primary bedroom. Primary bedroom needs upgrading on the bedding. Not as pictured, the comforter cheap and didn't even fit, was queen size draped over a king bed. Bed frame was not properly fitted to bed with the metal frame hanging out beyond the bed causing a tripping and toe subbing hazard. Several dead spiders were found, including on primary bed pillow. Seems it's been a while since anyone occupied the home or been opened up to air out.
Near Wineries in Sonoma and Napa, cozy and quaint with a large back yard and easy access to everywhere in wine country
enough space for the guests, furniture isn't great
After a long day of hanging out and having fun, the best part was the being able to sit on the back porch and unwind with a glass of wine. Large back yard made everything seem very spacious.
The house is so charming! The front is beautiful! Hydrangeas are unreal. The backyard is so big! Loved the different seating! Beds were very comfortable!! Very clean! Would stay again!
The home was clean and the outside space was amazing. We had 2 couples and 3 singles and everyone fit comfortably but the home seems best suited for a family with children given the twin bed situation.
