Overview
Pacific sunsets paint the sky from your deck perched above the Sonoma Coast. This oceanview retreat sleeps 4 with panoramic water views from every window. Sip morning coffee on the wraparound deck as fog lifts to reveal the coastline stretching endlessly north and south. Just 1 mile from Coast Kitchen's farm-to-table dining and steps from Canyon Trailhead's coastal hikes. The sound of waves carries on the breeze — your soundtrack for an unforgettable escape where forest meets sea.
Warm honey-toned hardwood floors and natural wood trim welcome you into this contemporary retreat, where an open floor plan draws your eye toward walls of windows framing endless ocean views and towering evergreens. Vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams give the space a cabin-like grandeur that feels both intimate and expansive. The heart of the home centers around a wood-burning stove set on a tiled platform — your cozy gathering spot after days exploring the Jenner coastline. You sink into the generous gray sectional, perfectly positioned for fireside evenings and ocean gazing, while a wall-mounted TV provides entertainment and whimsical deer and moose mounts add cabin character overhead. Track lighting illuminates the soaring beamed ceilings above. The fully equipped kitchen showcases rich reddish-brown wood cabinetry paired with light countertops and a mosaic tile backsplash in earthy tones, with stainless steel appliances including a gas range and full-size refrigerator. A compact wood-sided island with a tile top provides extra prep space, and multiple windows flood the kitchen with natural light and forest views. The adjacent dining area seats your group comfortably for meals together. Your coastal retreat sits just 0.5 miles from Canyon Trailhead, gateway to miles of bluff-top hiking with sweeping Pacific views. When hunger strikes, Coast Kitchen at Timber Cove Resort (1.0 mile) serves farm-to-table cuisine with floor-to-ceiling ocean views — perfect for a special dinner. Ocean Cove Lodge and its Bar & Grill (1.1-1.2 miles) offer more casual dining with stellar sunset views. This stretch of Highway 1 puts you at the doorstep of the Sonoma Coast's greatest hits. Stillwater Cove Regional Park (0.4 miles) provides easy beach access and the scenic Bluff Trail. History buffs will love Fort Ross State Historic Park (3.0 miles), where a reconstructed Russian settlement tells stories of 19th-century fur traders. The park's trails lead to secluded coves and panoramic viewpoints. Wine enthusiasts can explore the extreme coastal terroir at Fort Ross Vineyard (5.6 miles), where Pinot Noir grows closer to the Pacific than almost anywhere else in California.
Jenner is about 95 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and Highway 1 — a breathtaking coastal drive where the Russian River meets the sea. Your driveway accommodates up to three vehicles comfortably. Fort Ross Store (1.9 miles south on Highway 1) is your nearest spot for basic groceries and coffee, though you'll want to stock up before arriving. A car makes exploring the Sonoma Coast effortless — it unfolds for miles in either direction. Cell service is light along the coast, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is a good idea.
The home stays naturally cool thanks to the coastal climate and shading from surrounding redwoods — you'll find the ocean breeze and forest canopy provide perfect natural temperature control. The primary renter must be 21 or older. There's a strict no-burn policy for fire safety in this forested setting. WiFi is available for staying connected, though many guests find the spotty cell service along the coast a welcome excuse to unplug. The wood-burning stove creates magical ambiance on foggy evenings — firewood is typically available locally. Pro tip: Ocean Cove Lodge's bar makes excellent Bloody Marys for lazy mornings, and booking dinner at Coast Kitchen in advance is highly recommended, especially on weekends. Timber Cove Beach is less than 2 miles south for tide pooling adventures. Remember this coastline has powerful waves and cold water — it's stunning to watch but not safe for swimming.

Loved the setting!
We loved that 2 couples could share this home with 2 private quarters to sleep and 2 separate full bathrooms. We attended 3 wedding events at the Timber Cove and the drive was an easy 1 mile. Walkable roads in the neighborhood for a little exercise without driving.
House was comfortable and was in better shape than I expected from the rate and photos. It was truly a great value. Location was great. Quiet and beautiful views. Towels were nice and plentiful. Utilities, lights, etc were easy to use.
The landscape, kitchen and peak a boo view of the ocean
The house is very clean.
We enjoyed our stay in this home in the woods on the coast. Very beautiful and comfortable.
