Overview

Slip into the hot tub as dusk settles over your private forest sanctuary. This contemporary 3-bedroom retreat sleeps 6 in serene seclusion, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing mature oaks from every room. You're just 0.9 miles from Glen Ellen Star's wood-fired cuisine and Jack London State Historic Park's redwood trails. The deck wraps around towering trees — morning coffee here feels like a meditation.

Step through the blue glass-paneled door into a sanctuary of light and natural textures. This single-story contemporary embraces its forest setting with soaring windows, natural stone accents, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace wall anchors the living space, where you sink into the gray sectional facing the smart TV. Sliding glass doors open fully to the wraparound deck, flooding the room with filtered forest light. Light hardwood floors and blue-gray walls carry the airy feel into the kitchen — white shaker cabinets, black hardware, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Bar seating at the peninsula handles casual meals, while the six-person dining table gathers your group beneath a linear pendant. OUTDOOR LIVING The wraparound deck is your outdoor room among the trees — dining set, lounge furniture, and bench seating across composite decking with black cable railings. Your private hot tub sits in a wood-sided enclosure, perfectly positioned for stargazing through the canopy. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The primary suite occupies its own wing with a California king bed, office nook, and direct deck access. Its en-suite features a soaking tub, glass-enclosed shower with marble-look tile, double vanity, and bidet. Two queen bedrooms both open to the deck via sliding glass doors. Sleeps 6. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Private hot tub -- Air conditioning -- Smart TV with streaming -- Full kitchen with modern appliances -- Washer and dryer -- High-speed Wi-Fi -- Parking for 4 vehicles -- Gas BBQ grill -- Security cameras (exterior)

Slide open the floor-to-ceiling doors to a deck framed by mature trees, drop into the private hot tub, then come back inside to the natural-stone fireplace wall in the great room. The whole home is yours, with a BBQ and outdoor dining set up on the deck in the Valley of the Moon. Punch in the keypad code on arrival; the driveway holds up to four cars.

Your Glen Ellen hideaway puts you at the heart of Sonoma Valley's most charming village. Walk the trails at Jack London State Historic Park just 0.9 miles away, where the author's historic ranch and redwood groves await. Dine at Michelin-recognized Glen Ellen Star (0.9 mi) for wood-fired seasonal dishes, or start your morning with French pastries at Les Pascals (0.9 mi). Benziger Family Winery's famous biodynamic tractor tours are just 0.6 miles down the road, while intimate tastings await at Laurel Glen Vineyard (0.9 mi) and Mayo Family Winery (1.2 mi). Stock up on provisions at Glen Ellen Village Market (0.9 mi) or explore the boutiques at Jack London Village (1.3 mi). For a special evening, book ahead at Songbird Parlour (1.3 mi) for their six-course tasting menu. The Sonoma Botanical Garden's 47 acres of walking paths are nearby, while Sonoma Valley Regional Park (1.4 mi) offers easy hiking with vineyard views.

Glen Ellen is about 75 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and Highway 12 — a scenic drive through Sonoma Valley vineyards. Your driveway accommodates up to 4 vehicles comfortably. A car makes Sonoma Valley easy to explore — tasting rooms, restaurants, and parks run up and down Highway 12. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.

The property features security cameras monitoring the gate, driveway, and creek area for your safety. The home has air conditioning for warm days, and also stays naturally cool thanks to the forest canopy and cross-ventilation from multiple sliding doors. The decorative fireplace adds ambiance but isn't operational. Beyond the deck railing lies a creek with steep ledges — the area past the fence line is not for guest use. Swimming in the creek is not permitted for safety reasons. Your forest setting means wildlife sightings are common — deer often graze nearby at dusk. Cell service can be spotty in the hills, but the Wi-Fi is reliable for streaming and remote work. Quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM help preserve the tranquil atmosphere. The primary renter must be 25 or older.

Great location. Needs some attention with appliances and amenities. I hope Vacasa addresses the issues.

Everything was great, no complaints.

We rented this home for a family girls weekend, everyone flying in from the east coast. The house has a beautiful setting and was clean and relatively new. That’s where the good things stop. DAY 1 - We went to check in at 4pm and the house was 90 degrees! There are no instructions in the house to help us figure out the thermostat, so I called Guest services for help. In a matter of 2 hours, I had called 3 times, always being told someone would call me right back which never happened. I was told they had to open a ticket and that it had been sent to the local staff, but no one ever responded. Finally I asked for a manager, waited on hold 20 minutes and then was told a manager was not available. At that point I called a local friend who came over and got the AC turned on. Next, we were excited to watch the Olympics but were told there was no cable or local TV. It is a smart TV that you have to have your own account to log in and use it. What??? Then we decided to get dinner and hope the house would cool down while we were done, but couldn’t figure out how to lock the electronic door. I called again and a local manager told us how to operate it. Day 3 - The power goes out in the area and when we arrive back to the house we can’t open the electronic gate to get into the driveway. We called the local manager again, who had been absent the past few days and she told us she had been notified by the homeowner that the power was out. Why they didn’t notify us is a mystery. Our rental car sat on a dangerous remote street while we waited for her to come and open it manually. When I asked where we would be relocated if it didn’t come back on I was told “I don’t know”. She said she would try and see what she could do. Thankfully it did come back on almost 4 hours later so at least we didn’t have to move. DAY 4 - We return to the house after a long day and the Carbon Monoxide alarm went off! I contacted the manager who I was told to contact if there was a problem, as well as the first manager I dealt with. First text said Carbon Monoxide Alarm is going off, second text was I was calling 911, third text said the fire department was on the way. I HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE AT VACASA! We could have died and they could care less! It’s been 2 days since we checked out and not one word. I will NEVER RENT FROM VACASA AGAIN! Just the worst! Where is my compensation for all these issues Vacasa???
