Overview
Slip into the hot tub as redwoods sway overhead and the forest settles into evening quiet. This dog-friendly hideaway brings your pup along for riverside adventures — the Russian River flows just 0.2 miles away. Cozy up with 4 in this colorful cabin after wine tasting at Porter Creek (2.1 mi) or paddling from Burke's Canoe Trips. Your forest retreat sits minutes from Forestville's tasting rooms yet feels worlds away in the trees.
Step through the bright orange Dutch door into a storybook forest cabin where vintage charm meets modern comfort. White scalloped wood paneling, exposed ceiling beams, and colorful furnishings fill this cozy Forestville hideaway. Settle into the rust-orange leather sofa beside the electric fireplace while large windows frame the surrounding forest. A wall-mounted TV is ready for movie nights, and a patterned area rug anchors the space. The galley kitchen pairs natural wood and white cabinets with dark countertops and a turquoise vintage-style appliance. The dining nook seats four with built-in bench seating and a cheerful red gingham tablecloth — perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. OUTDOOR LIVING Multi-level decks transform the sloped forest site into outdoor rooms. Gather around the fire table in Adirondack chairs on the upper deck, then descend to the lower level where a white clawfoot hot tub waits beneath the tree canopy. A gas grill stands ready, and mature trees provide complete privacy. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The main bedroom features a king bed in classic plaid beneath exposed beams. A basement sleeping area offers a queen bed with vintage furnishings. Sleeps four. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- Private clawfoot hot tub -- Central AC -- Washer and dryer -- Full kitchen and gas grill -- Smart TV with streaming -- Electric fireplace -- Dog-friendly (max 2 dogs) -- Fire table and multi-level decks -- Parking for 2 vehicles
Soak in the clawfoot tub on the lower deck for a forest bathe, then drift up to the private hot tub above — the white scalloped paneling inside reads cottage-meets-cabin. You've got the whole cabin, dogs welcome, with multi-level decks carved into the sloped lot. Punch in the keypad code on arrival; park up at the road at the top of the stairs down to the cabin.
Your cabin sits in a quiet forest pocket of Forestville, where the Russian River flows just 0.2 miles away at Forestville River Access. Walk your pup to Mother's Beach (0.2 mi) for a riverside picnic, or drive 5 minutes to Steelhead Beach Regional Park (1.7 mi) for swimming and kayaking. Wine tasting awaits at Porter Creek Vineyards (2.1 mi), Gary Farrell (1.7 mi), and Moshin Vineyards (1.8 mi) — all within a 10-minute drive through vineyard-lined roads. For provisions, Sam's Market sits just 0.3 miles away. Dine at the Russian River Pub (0.9 mi) for casual fare or drive to Thomas George Estates (2.7 mi) for wine and food pairings. The West County Regional Trail entrance (3.2 mi) offers 5.5 miles of paved paths through farms and vineyards. Burke's Canoe Trips launches their famous 10-mile river floats right from Forestville. This is where wine country meets river recreation — you're minutes from acclaimed tasting rooms yet surrounded by redwood forest tranquility.
Forestville is about 80 minutes from San Francisco via 101 and River Road — a mellow drive through vineyards and rolling hills. Your two parking spaces are located on the road at the top of the stairs leading down to the cabin. A car makes the Russian River Valley easy to explore, from redwood trails to riverside wineries. Cell service gets patchy in the redwoods, so downloading offline maps before you arrive is worth it.
The cabin stays naturally cool thanks to the surrounding tree canopy, though central AC is available for warmer days. Your pups will love exploring the multi-level decks and forest surroundings — just keep them leashed when venturing to the nearby river. The outdoor clawfoot hot tub on the lower deck is a magical experience, especially at dusk when the forest comes alive with evening sounds. Internet speeds of 283 Mbps down make remote work possible if you can resist the call of wine tasting and river adventures. The stairs down from road parking to the cabin can be steep — pack light or make multiple trips. The vintage turquoise appliance in the kitchen adds character to your cooking experience. For the full Forestville experience, pick up fresh sourdough from Nightingale Breads for morning toast. The primary renter must be 21 or older.

Clean, cozy and comfortable! We will be coming back for sure!
I grew up in the Midwest where everyone had a camp. This felt just like I was at a friend’s camp. It was just what I needed. The stairs from street to front door are pretty steep so don’t bring giant suitcases.
My wife and I decided to stay here for our 20th wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint. The cabin was just as described, it had great character. The hot tub was fantastic and spending time on the large deck was very relaxing. Plenty of shade from all of the oak trees. The beds were very comfortable. Will likley visit again.
Small, charming cabin, but not too small! Beds were very comfy, plenty of throw blankets. We cooked and were surprised by the high quality cookware and supplies! View is stunning...it was too cold to use the deck. Read the description, there are a lot of stairs down to the property and it's on a very narrow road. We had no issues, a neighbor expertly maneuvered into a driveway and let us pass! Location is fabulous...hiked at Armstrong, walked the West County Trail and spent time in Sebastopol. Lovely trip!
We had such a cozy stay at this Forestville cabin tucked away among the trees and just minutes from the Russian River and only 25 minutes from the coast. The setting is so peaceful and private, the perfect spot to unwind. The back deck with the hot tub was our favorite place to relax. Inside, the cabin is warm and inviting with a super comfy king-size bed that made it hard to leave in the mornings. Plus, it’s dog friendly, which meant we got to bring our pup along for the adventure. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway!
This place is so amazing. The location is so peaceful and quiet. The home has everything, books to read from a wide array of genres, cards, domino's, other games, a fire pit, a hot tub, a dart board. The beds are super comfortable. Not to mention it is pet friendly! Only caution is the 36 steps to get to the house but it is well worth it. You can even have Safeway delivery to this house. The tv does stream Amazon prime, disney plus, etc. My favorite place to go. I can't wait to go back.
