Town of South Bethany - 5 Surfside St

Loved how clean and organized the house was, however there was room for improvement in some minor issues we encountered during the stay.

We’ve been coming to the area for 20 years and this was our best week ever. The location is perfect and the house was very comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The outdoor shower was a plus and so refreshing after a long day at the beach or exercising. The neighborhood is quiet and welcoming and the sounds of the ocean while sitting on the screened porch or on the outside deck are soothing.

Proximity to the beach is great. Sectional and TV in living room are great size. Kitchen is also nice size but dirty (cupboard doors are dirty, outside of microwave and fridge covered in fingerprints and who knows what, table and benches are extremely sticky/tacky even after wiping down). Twin beds very uncomfortable, bathrooms are tiny with no counter space at the sinks and no outlets except one at the top of the light. Doors to bedrooms stick and made a loud sound when trying to open. Back door (near the outside shower) does not lock, TV would work so long and then you couldn't get any channels because something needed to be done with a fire stick but there was no fire stick remote control. The "varied beach equipment provided" consisted of 2 boogie boards and nothing else. String lights in the screened in porch (shown on the pictures) did not exist and the bench seats at the picnic table were gross. We had to clean the porch when we checked in, it was dirty with food/ants, sand, trash; slight trash laying around outside also. The "accent" pillows on the bed are dirty, should be thrown away. It is so disappointing to pay a lot of money for a house that is dirty. I don't live in a dirty house, why would I want to vacation in one??!!
