Seaside Villas - 40123 Seaside Dr Unit #17

While we loved the proximity to the ocean, this home left much to be desired. Our main complaint is maintenance-related. None of the outlets in the bathrooms worked at all and many, many lights were burned out. Some of these lights were more inconsequential but others were important (i.e. the inside light at the main entrance door, the main bathroom overhead vanity light, the ceiling lights on the top floor - causing a dark walk up steep steps to find a lamp, the hall lights on the main bedroom floor, the light over the stove). The ceiling fan on the top (quite hot) floor didn’t work. The plastic lounge chairs on each of the decks were cracked in a way that left them unusable. The washing machine leaks. We discovered this when running a wash cycle for dirty towels/washcloths that were left in the machine from the last guests. While the kitchen and bathrooms appear updated, the rest of the house feels quite worn and old/outdated, down to the comforters/bed skirts on the beds. The carpeting was quite dirty and stained throughout the unit and it was only half way through the season. Upon arriving, the house had a very strong food smell that took a couple days to dissipate and the kitchen sink had a light coating of a saucy substance. We cleaned all the sinks, toilets and showers after discovering this just to ensure they were actually clean and disinfected. We arrived after dark and couldn’t wait for a cleaning crew the next day before using these things. **The description says there is a shed with beach equipment but no shed exists. Luckily we brought our own. Other units here have an actual small, wooded shed built underneath, where you park, but this one does not. The rental company offered to send a local crew to address maintenance issues and we asked to be present so we gave our cell number. Someone finally texted the day before we left, asking to come and measure for a new shower door and apologizing for the delay. The shower door wasn’t even one of our complaints, it worked fine. We reminded them of the actual issues and told them to address things after we left at this point. We didn’t want to stick around and miss our last day on the beach. The list of issues was so long that they would have been in our unit for hours. If all of the maintenance issues were addressed, some basic updates made, and a deep cleaning done, this would be a very nice place to stay (just keep in mind nothing is really walkable other than the beach - we knew this going in). As it stands, we would definitely not rent this unit again and will most likely not rent through Vacasa again after this experience. It is impossible to contact a local representative directly and we had to reiterate our whole list of issues to a main office representative again even when returning a call from someone local. It was a very frustrating experience that took away from what was to be a relaxing trip.

Location is great. Easy access to Bethany and ocean city. We enjoy spending time in both. Great view of the ocean and dunes. Easy access to the beach. We will consider staying here again.

Large TV Close to beach, though not beach front Towels and linens provided LOTS OF STEPS, so not really ideal for anyone who has difficulty doing steps. Great location away from high rises and town centers, but just a few minutes drive to restaurants, shops, etc.

Spacious for our large family, nice sized rooms, great parking, easy beach access. Felt safe, quiet area, beach not crowded. Nice area between ocean city and Bethany island

We enjoyed our stay very much! The location is amazing. Loved Fenwick Island!

Very peaceful, tranquil area for a nice weekend stay!
