Sea Colony - 19006 Lakeview Ct

This condo was decent with a nice view of a little lake with fountain (but we had booked oceanfront)...read on. Booking was terrible. I reserved and paid in full for 6 oceanfront condos and 6 days prior to check in 3 of them were cancelled due to "construction"; 4 days prior to check in a 4th condo was cancelled. The only condos available were a mile from the ocean and since this was a work retreat this was less than ideal. The fact that we had to pay a resort fee and only used the beach, where no one checks for badges and parking is not monitored, was a waste of money. -Microwave did not work - Towel bar in primary bath was broken -Pillows were terrible - way to thick and hard, not plush - Bunk room had glass windows alongside the door that faced the living space. There needs to be some covering for privacy. -Found a broken glass on the screened porch -No kitchen towels -We were given incorrect key pad code at arrival

They cancelled our original booking right before our stay and changed our unit to an inconvenient location, the towel bars were broken and hanging off the wall, the locks didn’t work and we had to wait a half an hour for maintenance to let us in, and there was a ton of sand under the covers of the bottom bunk bed. They said a cleaning crew would come out to take care of it and never did.

This was the worst experience we’ve had with a Vasa managed rental in 7+ years of coming to Sea Colony. Our biggest issue was the lack of responsiveness and customer service when calling in with issues. We had several broken things and a non working appliance upon arrival that clearly went unnoticed and unattended to during our stay. We called in on the first full day, Monday, after realizing the microwave was not working. We tried different plugs with an extension cord from one of the other rooms and it only worked momentarily before not working again. Maintenance did call, I explained the situation and indicated it happened to be working. Later that day the microwave didn’t work at all. We called again and I repeatedly texted the customer number indicating the issue re-emerged and that we needed a replacement. I got the standard “the local team has been informed and will provide an update….” over and over again. We called again and again and spoke with a few people, but nobody reached out for the duration of our 1 week stay to address the situation. This was highly inconvenient, especially when renting with young children. As other reviews mentioned, storage in the bedrooms is poor. The room with the bunk bed has none aside from a few closet shelves and calling the bedroom with a king bed a “master” isn’t accurate. There are some drawers (poorly placed and not adequate) under the bed but they are hard to open b/c of the nightstands and there’s no dresser. The bathroom is also small and not anywhere near the size for what a master bedroom bathroom should be. Additionally though some of the appliances and bathroom fixtures are newer but overall the home is in serious need of some maintenance and better attention to detail. 1) the steps outside are rotting. I get the fact that the natural elements play a role in that but one step completely detached when in use and I almost fell head first. The whole deck needs attention and better cleaning; 2) Microwave doesn’t work, as mentioned above; 3) The towel racks in both backgrounds are detached and coming out of the wall. They were poorly installed to begin with it appears 4) The sliding doors need some attention, they barely open b/c of the dirt outside and no lubrication on the tracks. One of the locks is completely rusted and hard to use 5) There aren’t trash cans in any of the bed rooms 6) the garage sliding drawer in the kitchen is broken. A previously renter clearly pulled it too hard, making it difficult to access the two trash cans inside. On a positive note, the patio seating was nice and accommodating and the guest bedroom had decent storage compared to the other rooms. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with this rental and would consider leveraging other rental agencies in the area that care more about tenants and their experience during their stay.

This is a very nice unit. Very good size for a family. Nicely furnished and updated. Couple minor things that seem obvious, but evidently are not.... 1) There is a bedroom directly facing into the main living area. For whatever reason, that bedroom door has windows on sides, and there are no curtains or window coverings! Kind of odd to have a bedroom that doesn't allow for privacy. These should be able to be covered. 2) None of the 3 bedrooms have a mirror! Again, odd choice. These two items aside, the unit is very nice and I like that it doesn't have a lot of clutter or personal items. Would definitely stay again, but those couple of changes seem essential.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home had a lot of updated furniture and appliances. It was very comfortable. The location was great as we had access to pools, the tram, parking, fitness center and fishing (at a couple of ponds). We had a great time and look forward to coming back.

We were very pleased with our stay. The property was very clean and comfortable, great beds, and had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay in this unit again.
