Sea Colony - 1A Annapolis Garden House Rd

The VIEW from the unit is fantastic!

Of all the places we’ve stayed at Sea Colony, this unit is our favorite: the panoramic ocean views, the wrap-around balcony, the north end location, the pool outside the front door, the spacious accommodations, the well supplied kitchen, the comfortable furnishings and bedding make 1A Annapolis Garden House a great place to stay.

Convenient to beach and pool, kids toys are great, main bed comfy, love the layout and wonderful views. Love the original quality of finishes to this older unit. Great for families! Already booked the same unit for next year which will be my 4th consecutive year.

Roomy enough for our family of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) and steps from the pool and beach. Being at the north end of the SC development, the view was of dunes and grasses and the shortest walk into town. We would definitely choose this rental again.

The room is very spacious and has plenty of room if you need to use each bedroom. The kitchen is one of the best I’ve seen in any condo in Sea Colony because it’s open and spaced well, not a galley kitchen like the majority of units. Lots of room in the living space that can seat everyone comfortably without being on top of one another. The deck/balcony is great with a really nice view. The wrap around for the deck is generally a large space (unit to railing). The curtains/shades in the master bedroom should be changed. If you’re visiting in the summer months the sun is up sometime between 5-6am and it’s like a light switch being turned on in the room. That window definitely needs room darkening curtains/shades unless you like getting up super early. Also in the master bedroom for some reason the room never gets cool overnight even with the air temp down and fan on. So with the early morning light and poor temp control it is not great for sleeping into the morning once the sun is up. The living area and kitchen area stay plenty cool which is odd because those are wide open spaces compared to the master with the bedroom door closed. The entire unit in general could use quite a bit of updating with furniture. It’s comfortable enough but doesn’t look all that clean. The non-master bedrooms need a ton of updating. The bed is awful in one of the rooms, feels like laying on concrete. The other bedroom has two day beds which are ok. The dressers in that room were not very clean and they don’t open/close all that well. The lighting is also poor in the bedrooms. It feels very dark and dingy. All and all we like the room, most of these things are minor and wouldn’t stop a future rental.
