Kent Condo - 39260 Retreat Dr is described as a great value, offering a spacious layout with fantastic common areas that work well for families and groups. Guests appreciated that the home feels nice, cute, cool, comfy, and consistently clean. The large screened patio and yard were especially enjoyed for relaxing and spending time together. The property is praised for its convenient location near the beach, marina, and restaurants, while still feeling peaceful and away from noise and traffic. Guests also valued the easy check-in and check-out process, along with ample parking.

This freshly-painted two-level 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath end townhome is located away from the bustle of crowded condo complexes and town center rental homes, but still close enough to walk to the beach, boardwalk, shops and restaurants to avoid parking hassles. Located approximately 0.6 miles from the beach, at the corner of Jefferson Bridge Road and Kent Avenue, this townhome features a flat-grass yard, great for kicking a ball around with little ones. Screened porch with ceiling fan, plus picnic table and chairs, too! This quiet retreat is less than a mile stroll or bike to the heart of Bethany Beach with its Boardwalk, bandstand, restaurants, mini golf and many other attractions and short walk to to South Coastal Library. The Bethany Beach trolley, serving the greater town area is available just steps from this vacation getaway (Memorial Day to mid-September. Outlet shopping just a short drive away to either Rehoboth Beach (to the north) or West Ocean City (to the south). This house was perfect size and location for us. We liked being able to walk to the beach. It was a ver quiet location as well.

This property was a cozy spot, but cleanliness issues were disappointing. Upon checking in we immediately noticed that the floor was quite dirty. We understand that it's a beach house and hard to keep clean; however, we didn't expect to have black feet after 30 minutes of walking around barefoot inside. The property uses a linen service, and several of the towels had stains and/or hairs inside when unfolded. There were several dirty dishes put away in the cabinets, including a citrus press that still had moldy lemon bits inside. The overall amenities within the kitchen were poor - the few pans there were extremely scratched and one was rusted through. Finally, the starter package of household amenities was lacking - there were no extra garbage bags, and no soap or toilet paper in the first floor bathroom. I spoke with the property manager and, to their credit, they did attempt to address several of these issues. They offered to send the cleaning service back out, which we declined because we felt it would be disruptive to our stay. They also offered to provide additional linens; however, we had several extra and did not need replacements despite the issues. Finally, they stated that they would leave a note for the owner to better stock the kitchen. Overall, the property itself was nice, clearly recently renovated. It was lovely eating outside in the screened-in porch. It is a 15 minute walk to the beach; however, there aren’t sidewalks on the route and you do cross Route 1, so it may not be best for groups with small children. Until the owner better furnishes the kitchen, I would recommend supplementing with your own pans and casserole dishes unless you plan to just do take-out. Bring your own paper products and trash bags.
