Bethany Bay - 2505 Harbor Dr

The only things we liked were the view and the outdoor amenities such as the pool, hot tub, tennis courts, and playground. After driving almost 10 hours with 3 kids I was expecting to come into a clean & cozy home. This home looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. It looked like someone threw the comforter over the sheets and left. I took multiple pictures and sent them to the “team”. They said they would contact me back when a decision had been made on whether I would be given a partial refund. Also within the first 40 minutes of arriving, around 5pm, the guest below us came up and asked if we could be quieter. We read quiet hours were in the late evening until early morning. So if you have kids, don’t bother. There was hair all over the sheets, stains, toothpaste on the counter, food particles on the table, food smeared on the counter, cookie smooshed into a mirror, stains on all materials and carpet, fingerprints on all mirrors, hair on the toilet and bathroom floors, my kids feet turned literally black from how filthy it was. I had to wash my own bedding after driving 10 hours before I could even lay down. I was embarrassed bc my daughter brought her friend and I invited my friend and her two children. Absolutely horrible. I did read the review but thought since most had commented on cleanliness that they had for sure made changes since. I also clean airb&bs for a living and would NEVER accept this kind of service from a cleaning staff. But it’s also on the owner considering the broken and stained furniture. This was not a cheap stay either. This was completely unacceptable.

Based on the pictures advertised, this was a wonderful selection for 5 professional educated women to getaway and relax while catching up on our lives and making memories. Well, the furniture is old, worn and definitely not bright and vibrant. The patio furniture is badly stained, unsure what the stains are from, but on appearance, it was obvious it was something we were not going to sit on; leaving that area totally unusable. The bed linen hung very raggedly from under the spread, causing me to have to strip each bed and remake them. However, the floors were clean. Insult to injury occurred when we were met by a male wearing no shirt directly outside our front door as we were leaving for dinner. Long story short, he wanted to know “if we were working.” Fortunately a very wonderful neighbor who I exchanged numbers with, him and his wife kept on eye on us after that, checking to make sure we were safe doing our coming and going. Thus is a beautiful area, and I hope we just happened to get a poorly maintained unit; and the insulting, unwanted guest is not the norm. The property is very well maintained with an obvious very active HOA.

We loved our 4 day getaway to Oceanview . Such Beautiful views of the water .

Beautifully appointed (furnishings, paintings, color schemes). Area is quiet with walking trails including forest access. View of a local pond was great at all hours of the day. Carpeting throughout needs thorough shampoo; first-floor bedroom has water stain on ceiling. Ceiling fan blades need thorough cleaning. Visible dust on walls that cleaning staff could easily remedy. Balcony screen is damaged. Bathrooms, kitchen were clean.

The home itself was beautiful; modern, spacious, fully stocked. Awesome views. Loved the location, the golf course, walking trails, and peacefulness of the community. Our negative is: One of the beds did not look like it had been cleaned at all. There was hair on the comforter, pillows, sheets. We were very upset, we were up until 11:30 pm waiting for the bedding to wash and dry before we could go to bed after traveling 10 hours all day to get there. Another bed had no comforter or bedspread, only sheets. After asking 3 different people, someone brought what was supposed to be a blanket, but turned out to be only another set of sheets.
