Town of Dewey Beach - 1609 Coastal Hwy, The Opal #306S

Location was great but only thing we wanted was the pool to be opened and a outside deck

This place was lovely and the second bathroom was a plus! It was very clean and exactly as advertised. The pool was clean as well and the location was perfect for walking to everything!

My husband and I stayed at the Opal 306S for our anniversary getaway. It was short trip so we wanted to experience all that is Dewey. We unfortunately didn't have the opportunity to utilize the kitchen but after doing to quick check it seems that it is well appointed enough for some easy meals. It did include a variety of cooking pans, a toaster, Keurig & blender. Two things that I had zero complaints about were the AC, it always kept the place at the pleasant temperature; and the in-unit laundry was very efficient. Two things that could have used improvement would be the window coverings and the paint/decor. The condo is east facing and street facing so at all hours of the day there is light coming in due to the lack of blinds. The current window coverings are not light blocking whatsoever and being someone that is sensitive to light when I sleep, at sunrise I was up for the day, and when trying to go to bed it was also a struggle due to the street lights. (Something to note since the condo is street facing, you will hear ambient noise in the evenings from all of the live music and patrons moving about the street.) As for the paint/decor, I think the entire condo could use a new coat of paint. It seemed every wall was scuffed and even the paint on the bathroom ceiling was cracking. As for the decor, it seemed to be in a transition period. The red couch once pictured has been removed so the few wine inspired decor pieces and sitting chair feel out of place. The couch is now blue and matches the remainder of the "beach" blue centralized decor. As for the bedroom, there's now a huge desk in there that was not pictured, with a chair that doesn't fit underneath it, and there's an extra dresser in the closet. I hoping we just hit it at an awkward time and they're working on the identity crisis that seems to be happening with the wall hangings and furniture. Other than that the place was great. Located on the 3rd floor, the elevator is right outside the door, which was very convenient. The pool across the street was very nice and perfect for an afternoon dip. We defiantly enjoyed our stay, but would only stay again if the place got new window coverings.

This rental was perfect for our family of three. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We especially loved that sheets and plenty of towels were provided. It was close to everything: the beach, shops, and restaurants. I would definitely recommend! The only downside was the bedroom is very bright in the morning with only light colored curtains on the windows. Other than that it was wonderful!

Perfect for our family of 4, only recommendation I would suggest is investing in blackout curtains in at least the bedroom. Overall, location was great and the pool was too.

Great place, clean, great location, two parking spots.
