Close to the beach

We were vacationing with two families and the location couldn't be beat in terms of nearness to the beach and all the fun of town. Great amount of space to spread out in.

I'm conflicted about my rating. The location was superb - half a block from the beach and boardwalk. The access to the next door hotel's pool was perfect. Even the living room and dining room were nice. BUT the bathroom on the ground floor, next to the king bedroom was really icky. The toilet was at a child-sized height and the toilet seat was white painted WOOD, with chips in it. I don't have to tell you what that looked like. The one piece shower enclosure was poorly installed. If you pushed against the wall, the whole shower enclosure moved. And the shower head was loose from the wall. In other words, it was not securely installed. There were ants in that king bathroom, not many, but still gross in that bathroom and the vanities in every bathroom were tiny. The space was good in all the bedrooms and bathrooms, but they were very bare bones. We had to bring in chairs from the dining room to use as a night table and suitcase stand. The television in the king bedroom was completely cracked and obviously nonfunctional. They did offer to come look at it, but we were only there for 5 days, so we didn’t want to bother. Also they were very responsive when one number in the hugely long security code malfunctioned. They made a shorter code, which did not include that number, which was helpful. Other shortcomings – a towel rack in an upstairs bathroom fell off the wall and there was not enough towel racks or even hooks in the different bathrooms. The upstairs toilets did not flush efficiently and throughout the bedrooms there were not enough outlets. It’s a shame, because it could have been a really lovely house. There were numerous beds in the 3 bedrooms upstairs, but the bathrooms were obviously cheaply and quickly done.

Close proximity to the boardwalk and beach.Parking for 4 vehicles. Nice extra space with large sunroom.

We have stayed at the Atlantic House a number of times over the years. With young grandkids you can’t beat the location - steps to the beach every morning, walks on the boardwalk everyday and close to great dining for adults and entertainment for the little ones!

You can't beat the location of this place! We loved the closed in porch. You can tell there have been some updates since reviews last year. It's a bit dated and could use some more cleaning (especially the floors), but overall it was a great place for our family to stay.
