Overview
This stunning retreat was a new construction for the 2019 season. The owners spared no expense and thought of everything that guests might need. The convenient layout maximizes open space for large group gatherings while offering quiet private areas for relaxing downtime. You will love the two main suites - one on the first floor and the other on the second floor. We dare you not to love that panoramic view with the kitchen and dining room opening directly onto the pool and patio area in the private fenced yard. Guests will fall in love with the interior design of this property. It's been furnished with high-end pieces in classic coastal contemporary with mid-century modern touches. Check out the custom artwork from many local artists. Nevertheless, the real star of this home is the pool! This is easily the largest private in-ground pool in downtown Rehoboth Beach. The backyard gets full sun most of the day, so the pool water temperature rarely dips below the mid to high 80s in the summer. The pool is large enough to relax, play volleyball, or swim laps. There are plenty of shaded areas for outdoor grilling on the Weber grill and picnic tables. The well-appointed chef's kitchen opens directly onto interior and exterior dining. It's a pretty house in a perfect location that comfortably accommodated the 6 of us family members (all adults) who stayed there for NYE 2025/2026. It is fabulous that each bedroom had its own en suite bathroom--quite a feet of engineering in this relatively small home. I imagine the house makes for an even better stay when there's access to the pool (which understandably we didn't have in winter--but the listing says the pool is open April 1 to October 1!). It's great, also, that there are 2 parking spots for the house. There was plenty of street parking when we were there, but I suspect that would not be the case in the warmer months. Having the dedicated spots will be a huge bonus during summer especially. There are also issues with this property--nothing that would keep me from coming back, but they did make this a less quality stay. First, the cleanliness of the house was average to mediocre. As an example, we found not an insignificant amount of *sand* on the floor in several of the bedrooms--in late December! Makes one wonder when the floors were last properly cleaned, or at least thoroughly vacuumed. Be prepared to bring or buy basics that are typically provided for a short term rental. That's fine, the owners certainly aren't required to provide these things--but they could have done a better job of communicating that we'd need to supply these items ourselves. Oddly, the renters provided generous amounts of certain items I would expect to have to buy, like puppy pads, paper napkins, and laundry detergent. But then they provided no or only very small amounts of essentials such as cloth kitchen towels (there was exactly *one* of those available); hand towels for the bathrooms (none were provided); paper towels (1 mostly used roll available); spray cleaner for countertops (none); shower gel/soap (none); and shampoo/conditioner (none). Note, also, that the bath towels and wash cloths in the en suite bathrooms were amply supplied, but *very* rough in quality. This didn't bother me, as I like an exfoliating towel, but it did bother some of the other guests. If you like softer bath towels and wash cloths, bring your own. Finally, there were problems with the consistency of the heat and electricity in some parts of the house, which we notified the rental company of and which hopefully will be sorted before anyone else stays there. Nothing dangerous, just annoying.
You will not regret booking this home. The whole house is so beautiful. The pool and backyard are perfect, we had 3 kids and they loved every minute of it. One of the nicest homes I’ve ever stayed at.
House easily accommodates 12 people. It is very clean & well stocked, esp the kitchen which had every type of pan/pot, serving utensil, and dish/bowl you could ask for (even had ample aluminum foil and storage containers). Every room had full sets of bath towels, sheets & pillows. You do need to pack your own pool/beach towels. The pool is a great addition. It is a nice size, gets adequate sun, and is very well maintained. The pool guy even came in while we were at the home. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to shops. The neighbors are friendly. The VRBO staff was easy to reach when needed and was very responsive. Couple of concerns/safety issues I'd like to note: Disabled folks would be challenged entering the home bc there is a very steep step into the home. Similarly the step into the backyard is also unusually steep. Also note the first floor bed is on a platform and is quite high. Baths & showers are slippery. Please pack removable anti slip floor gels or mats. Otherwise I would highly recommend this house.
New house, very well stocked. Pool was great. Highly recommend
Tastefully decorated, newish, open downstairs floor plan conducive to a very comfortable interactive family get together with two dogs. All bedrooms with separate bathrooms and showers was terrific. Easy 15 min walk to town and Boardwalk was super convenient. Hope re-rent when the weather is warmer and the backyard pool is open.
12 Family members ages 7-68 coming from all over the country for my sister’s daughter’s wedding. Accommodations were amazing… Each person had their own en suite room that was spacious and had a roomy closet and dresser storage. The house is extremely quiet! My husband and I stayed in the first floor master bedroom, and were concerned that it would be very noisy with people in the kitchen talking and laughing! Not an issue. We did not cook any meals, but the kitchen is outfitted with everything that you would ever need. Plenty of towels and extra linens. We were very lucky that the pool was still open. It was in the 80s this past weekend and provided a lovely place for us to just sit around and relax. This house is a gem! It’s beautiful, comfortable well-maintained,and clean. We plan on coming back and renting it for a month this summer.
