Bluegill Bay

Our stay at Bluegill Bay in Eagle River was absolutely wonderful! The home was the perfect mix of modern updates and cozy cabin vibes. Everything felt fresh, new, and impeccably clean. The furnishings were beautiful, and the view was truly spectacular. There was plenty of space for multiple families to relax together while still having room for everyone to spread out. The kids especially loved hanging out in the basement, and we all had such a great time. Highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable Northwoods getaway!

This beautiful lakeside home was perfect for our 3-generational group. The lake was quiet and clear, eagles to watch by day and loon calls at night. Kayaks, canoe and paddleboard enjoyed by all. Inside the house was clean, the beds very comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, and the common spaces very accommodating. There were spaces for everything and all at once: readers, foodies, puzzlers, game nights and movie nights. Town is close by for farmer’s and craft markets, restaurants, mini-golf, bowling, shopping, ice cream and even axe-throwing. A Northwoods paradise!

We love coming to this house. Its layout is perfect for families with kids of varying ages, with us all easily being able to gather in the common spaces without feeling like we're on top of each other. The biggest draw though is the water. It's absolutely pristine and perfect for swimming, especially with the water trampoline to play with. The sandy beach entry is a big hit with the kids, and we appreciate that there's no abrupt drop off to deeper water - we felt very comfortable that the kids were safe the whole time and could tell how deep the water would be. We caught a few larger fish off the dock, and probably 40+ smaller ones that were exciting for the kids to reel in. They must spray for mosquitoes because we very rarely see any bugs, even with being outside most of the day. You couldn't ask for a better up north cabin!

The lakefront!

The house was very comfortable for 6 adults and 5 children ages 9-1. The furniture is large to accommodate everyone, but it fits the space perfectly. We loved being able to eat outside on the patio together and enjoy the living room together at night. The beds were decent for a rental. The water was very clean and the beach was nice for our little ones. I didn’t notice a ton of mosquitoes, so that was nice. The one thing I wanted to note was that all 3 of us had an error using Google maps to get there. It took all of us to a different house, but if you keep driving back straight, you will see a written sign that has the correct address. Maybe a note with check in information and a better sign would be helpful.

This house was perfect for a trip with young kids (2,3,4,5) - lakefront was sandy and shallow, stairs were a great feature, plenty of floaties and life vests and boats for all! House was clean and spacious.
