When arriving I checked in at the front desk with Dawn she was nice and friendly. I got to my room and my room was dirty! It had old towels in the bathroom on the floor and counter. The room had an awful smell when entering and the tub was also dirty. I went back and told Dawn and tried to assure me the room had been cleaned. I showed her pictures of the room and then she called someone else about it. Then I was told I had to leave the room for about 2 hours so that it could be “cleaned”. I believed they just picked the towels up and didn’t clean the room. The room still smelled when we came back and the tub was still dirty and papers/trash under the night stand. The next day my key didn’t work to get back in the room I went to the front desk and told them they lady gave me a new key and it did not work then she asked if I held the door key long enough I assured her I was doing it correctly. She came to the room with her master key and it still did not work. So I was locked out for a few hours which was a huge inconvenience granted that we had excursions planned for the day and wasted hours trying to get back in our room. There was no urgency behind trying to get us back in. This is not my first time staying at vacasa but this has is the worst stay I’ve had traveling so far!
