We loved everything about the vacation home.
This place offers a tremendous vacation experience. Any season, Bear Pause makes for a relaxing vacation. Tremendous location in the woods and by the lake. The house is spectacular and perfect for a large group or family. Incredibly comfortable.
We had 8 adults, 6 children and 2 small dogs and we had a wonderful experience. There was so much room that no body got in each others way. The kitchen was huge which everyone cooking loved. The biggest thrill for the kids was the hot tub. We had a hard job getting them out! Pool table and electronic games were also a big hit for both kids and adults. Such a peaceful, serene location!
My family and myself loved this cabin it is just amazing in every aspect. Breath taking views we just fell in love with this place ..
The location was gorgeous and the quality of the property, accommodations, landscaping etc…was all so well executed
This house is easily the nicest (and most expensive) house we’ve rented for our annual up-north family vacation. For the ten of us, it was very spacious, clean, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. We had plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable with good linens. We had good Wifi, with plenty of streaming options for TV and/or phones/tablets. We loved the screen porch and chose to have several meals there including making s’mores around the fire table one evening. The hardscape going from the house to the lake includes a fire pit that is really nice. Fishing was fantastic right off the dock. We caught a lot of bass including several in the 14-18” range. The little beach area was really nice and swimming in the crystal clear water was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed catching minnows, frogs and a water snake (completely harmless) as well as lounging on the swim raft. The only possible negatives for the property are with the "row boat” and the steps to the lake. The very basic Jon boat has a seat at each end and nothing near the middle that would allow it to be rowed. Also, there are 58 steps from the lower level of the house to the lake. So going from the lake to the main level of the house is comparable to climbing 5 flights of stairs. When you do that several times while carrying fishing gear, lawn chairs (provided) and beach toys, it can be a challenge. I should also add that we did not use the hiking paths because the insects were annoying (early August). Over all, we loved this house and would love to go back again, but it’s already booked for next summer.
