'm pretty darn fussy when it comes to cleanliness, and our room nice and sparkly. No weird smells, no hair in the fridge, definitely no bugs. PROPERTY: Beds: High quality sheets. Dated but clean lodge-themed comforters. Bathroom: Very nice with custom tile work. Clean fixtures, plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. No weird plumbing drips or sounds. VERY poor lighting. Cute, random kitschy decor infused within a Native American, southwest feel. Great balcony with chairs with BALCONY! Views of swaying pines! It would be nice if the scrub and unhealthy pines were thinned so you could see the river! Nice furniture, my son slept on the pull out bed with no complaints. “KITCHEN” was clean with a microwave, small fridge, and sink. Roll of paper towel, and a scrubbie and dish soap for dishes. It was perfect for what we needed. It would’ve been great to Have had some paper plates and plastic utensils! Tiny garbage cans. RECOMMENDATIONS:: The dark red carpet is old and pretty gross. CONCERNS: the keypad was a struggle. We had to wait for 2 hours past our check in time (finally had a working door around 6:15; because of this, I missed the semi-formal cocktail reception I had been looking forward to for months. All because the keypad was not working. My partner kept on good communication with customer service. They responded promptly, but still couldn’t get us in. They gave us several different numbers to try, none of which worked. Around 6, the maintenance guy Came changed the battery. Once that was replaced it quit groaning but was still tricky to use. You must have just the right touch for the numbers. Biggest thing which actually is a big deal: there was no deadbolt, at all. The door appears indicates there was forced entry. I probably could have gotten in the room extremely easily by using a credit card. WiFi: Patchy WiFi. Zero AT+T cell reception unless using WiFi made it difficult to communicate with customer service.
Good stay good price
This property was advertised as a condo. I wouldn't call it anything but a big hotel room. The lack of staff to assist and provide directions was disappointing to say the least. We had never been to this location and were greeted by a sign saying condo checkin was closed and an empty lobby. I wasn't even sure we were in the correct location. There is a great deal to do on the property, but we had no idea how to access any of it until the second to last day we happened to walk by the counter in the lobby to see a bunch of maps of the property on the counter. It would be a nice touch if there was a map in the room with some additional information on how to access the various places on the property. We certainly would have enjoyed the wave pool if we had known about it and its location. The room itself was clean enough, but the property wasn't. There was a used Q-tip in the middle of the hallway for at least three days. We went to the Mexican place for supper at the wave pool, again we found it by accident, and the food was good. But the tables were so filthy that I was beyond grossed out...and I am not that particular. All in all, if I return to the Dells, this is not a property that I would choose again.
Air conditioner worked great. The view from the balcony was nice. The beds were not the most comfortable.
Comfortable sleeping
The unit fit our needs. We did not stay for the waterpark but instead went skiing at cascade so we were not in our room much. This unit is managed by an outside company and therefore you do not check in at the front desk, nor can they help you. We did not have cups in our room or soap for the shower. The company just said “sorry for the inconvenience” but didn’t offer to get those items to us. We had to buy at Walgreens. Luckily we had enough towels for our stay, but your room is not cleaned as it would be if you were staying in a hotel. There is coin laundry near the unit. It was fairly loud until 2am Saturday night. The edge of the room all the way around needs a deep clean. If you plan to be in the room a lot, I would not recommend. If you are a family of 5/6 and need an inexpensive place to stay in the dells but don’t want to do the waterpark then this place was ok.
