Par For The Course

The location was excellent! 8 minutes to drive to Sand Valley each day was very manageable. Response was always fast and appreciated. We were a foursome of guys and this place was perfect for our stay. We didn't go outside at all as we played 36 each day, but the deck was very nice. Next time we will try to golf course the house is on.

Home was roomy and comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool table too!

Very clean, very cozy. All beds were very comfortable. Everything you need is there. Close to restaurants. Nice town. It's definitely a 10.

My party (a group of five adults and 3 teenagers) really enjoyed this spacious and modern house on the Pines golf course and had plenty of room to spread out, while also enjoying game nights with shuffleboard, billiards, an indoor putting mat. We loved the landscaping in the backyard, getting to know the local birds and having memorable conversations sitting around the fire pit at night. There were only a couple of issues, both of which were resolved efficiently: 1. when we arrived at check-in time, the house was not cleaned. Not sure if this was a miscommunication or not, but local staff arrived quickly to clean the house while we went out to dinner. We were refunded the cleaning fee as a result. 2. The A/C went out in the midst of our stay, but after reporting this, someone arrived the next day to address this issue, so we only had a few hours without it. In general, I would have preferred to communicate with the owner of the home directly, rather than go through the rather impersonal Vacasa phone/text lines. At times, messages from Vacasa felt like they were AI-generated, which was frustrating. Other than that, it's a great house and a great value. We are considering staying here again the next time we go to Nekoosa for golfing (Sand Valley is only 5 minutes away), boating, and enjoying the various beaches and lakes that are only minutes away. We also took advantage of one of the heated swimming pools at the Lake Arrowhead Association. It was quite large, with a concession stand (adjacent to a golf course), and several families were enjoying the pool the same day. So, not a lot of privacy at the pool, but we found a much quieter and more enjoyable day of swimming at the local beaches.

This was not the original house we were supposed to stay at. The house we booked had a game room with multiple games, 2 fireplaces, on a golf course and had a cabin look to it. We received a call 15 minutes prior to arrival saying maintenance will be at the property. When we arrived we were told by the maintenance people we can't stay there because there is no heat and someone will contact us. We waited 30 minutes. No one contacted us. Here we are sitting in this random driveway vehicle packed and no where to go. Finally I started calling numbers and texting Vacasa. Then we were offered a different place which was just a plain house no game room or fireplace. Remember this is February in Wisconsin. Not a lot to do outside. So then they found this house we stayed at. It was a beautiful home very modern and plenty of room. When we were planning the vacation this was one of our choices but we really wanted to do a cabin themed place. The house was about 20 minutes from where we were. The house was more expensive to stay at and we didn't get charged extra. We arrived at the house and the cleaning staff was there. Super nice people and understandable. They were not expecting us to show up. We did receive a partial refund for the first night because it was not completely ready for us. So Wednesday we were going to the Dells. We had water park passes. So remember when we got to the house the cleaning staff was there so the door was unlocked. We are ready to leave and the code box on the front door doesn't work. So we can't lock the house. Called Vacasa again and my husband was told they found a management person near by and we will be contacted . I knew that meant we will be waiting forever. 30 mins later still no call back so I got on the phone and was told there was incident ticket on this. I then explained that something needs to be figured out we have been trying to leave for 2 hours. She then told me the manager won't be able to come assist us. The person I spoke with did figure something out for us so we were able to leave. They let us know where an actual key was hidden. This vacation definitely had hiccups. I do want to be clear, my review left here has nothing to do with the house. The house was beautiful and we really enjoyed it. I would recommend this property to stay at.

We used the home for 7 adults to go deer hunting. We really enjoyed the property and it was nice having 4 separate bedrooms and the 3.5 bathrooms.
