Pearl by the Sea

This house is large and well laid out. it is an easy walk to the beach. The house is older and some things could use updating but all in all it was a good house.

I would recommend this home! It was a great time with my sorority sisters. The home was spacious and we were comfortable as a group. We had some ants find their way into the kitchen, but the maintenance team was on it and addressed the issued promptly! The furniture is dated, BUT we loved the home and said that we would we return without hesitation! Easy access to the beach too!

Location was perfect. Beach entrance was right across the street. Pet friendly which we required.

We were there for 4 nights. Upon arrival the front entrance was filthy. The door was like entering a haunted house with all the grime on the front of the house and the black on a door that appeared to be naturally white. Proceeding up the steps ( with our parents) the rails on both sides were handprints so much the white was black marked to the point we were worried of the germs to use to assist the 96 and 89 year old up the stairs also very dirty. Upon reaching the main floor ; personally ones to take off shoes indoors I removed my shoes and my feet were immediately gritty with sand and very dirty on the bottom. Immediately I washed my feet and replaced my shoes warning all party members keep their shoes on. Took a wet paper towel and wiped the floor revealing to our parents and friends reason for my concern. Dishes had what appeared to be dried gnats on them in the cabinets ( cups plates bowls). If this were our property for short term rental I would want to know these things especially charging 1 grand a night in off season for rental. My husband and I were embarrassed at the condition of the property we had rented for our guests traveling with us for the wedding. Usually not one to complain but this needs be noted. The pool was very dirty ( although we didn't use it) Upon arrival however a gentleman did come mid day the following day to clean it. Furniture was knocked over pool toys in the yard and in the pool. Very dissatisfied . The lady that brought the welcome gift the next day was very peasant and welcoming which was the best part of the stay. The bedding was torn and appeared bleach stained . 300 per night is a fair amount for this home in off season. Not 1000. Kindly, The Fishers and Johnsons.

This house had a fantastic location and the kids loved the pool. The house was clean but can definitely use some updating and TLC. The owners provided a welcome bag with some goodies for our family to enjoy which was certainly a nice touch. We will certainly consider staying here again if some of the details provided to the owners are addressed.

We loved the location of the house. Even though it's not ocean front, it is situated in between the two houses in front of it so that you still get an amazing ocean view. Having the beach access right across the street made it super easy to go back and forth between the house and beach. The layout of the house is great and offers plenty of space. We had a large family of 21 and it never felt cramped. The separate bedroom in the "pool house" was great for my parents who sometimes needed to get away from the chaos of their 11 grandchildren. We would love to stay here again and have already discussed booking it next summer, however, I would love to see that some repairs and updates have been made when we return.
