My husband and I were thrilled with the location. We walked through the parking lot to get to the private beach. The condo was clean, quiwt, well appointed and comfortable. Great internet connection. We spent every day on the beach watching the birds and seals. At night we watched the stars and the fascinating lighthouse light. Chatham is a charming town and less crowded in second Summer. I highly recommend Chatham Pier Fish Market for their lobster roll. We shopped at Chatham Market minutes from the condo. Note the condo has a queen, 2 twins in the loft, a futon and a sleep chair plenty of butts in bed spaces for famillies, if needed.
This rental home set the stage for an enjoyable getaway. It was well stocked with what we needed for a few days away (dish soap, toiletries, sponge, towels, bedding, etc.), and the pictures are accurate to the setup of the home. It is located in a beautiful location near a private beach and marina which were the highlight of our stay. The area was quiet and allowed for quality family time.
The location was great. The private beach turned out to be much better than expected. Yes, it is small, but there are so few people that we never felt crowded. We wound up not visiting any other beach because we liked it so much. n.b. you will have to wade out to the main beach 0'-4' deep depending on the tide. Main Street is a longish walk but not unreasonable. The unit itself is small and I would only recommend 2 people. My 5'3" daughter had to crouch in the loft and the access ladder is iffy for small children. The electrical could use an overhaul as several switches did not function and there was a sketchy extension cord powering much of the lighting. However, the unit was well furnished with games, cookware, and beach equipment. The kitchen itself was small but functional. All in all I would recommend this place but not for 4 people. Four stars is not a sign of disapproval, five stars is reserved for the exceptional.
This property has charm, character and what you would expect for an older beach house apartment. We loved the location, it was close to the ocean, quick walk to the beach, short drive to downtown and area attractions. If you’re expecting to stay at an upscale location, this isn’t the place for you. If you want a cozy, comfortable and affordable place on the Cape in a town with a lot of character, this is the place. Was it perfect? No. Was it perfect for us? Yes. I would highly recommend it.
