This cottage in a quiet neighborhood tucked away by Lake Tashmoo was the perfect respite for our family vacation. We enjoyed early morning sunrises on the back porch and cool breezes in the evening. The proximity to a small public beach was a highlight of our stay.
Like visiting your grandparents, in the best way! It’s a time capsule. Historic 1950’s lake cabin 2 Br + sofa bed. Kitchen has everything. Beds are comfortable. Gorgeous view. Secluded and quiet. Away from the road so a car or bikes are a good idea. Bring your own coffe/tea. WiFi is great! Outdoor shower, canoe and bike are there for your use. Tons of board games and hundreds of books. Lots of Old school charm.
One of my favorite views on the island. You'll enjoy a lovely deck to watch sunsets, big dining table to enjoy meals, and lots of walk-able trails right out your front door.
House was very clean and had almost everything we needed. There was a TV, but no remote for the cable box. I e-mailed to inquirer about this but never got a response. The description said there was parking for 2 cars and on street parking. It would be very hard to get 2 cars in the space that was there. On street parking impossible on the one lane road. Overall, would book again.
We stayed at the Sunset cabin for 5 days as an extension of our usual vacation in MV. The space served our needs, 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen for my husband, myself and our children. View off the patio was gorgeous at sunset. The drive into the property took a little getting used to (one lane dirt road with two-way traffic at times) but we enjoyed our stay overall.
Hidden jewel in Martha’s Vineyard. View from back deck awesome! Beach is down the road a short walk or bike ride. House was comfortable and the water pressure for showers great! Would definitely consider renting again. We arrived at night and didn’t know the second bedroom had two steps down and fell. Would suggest a light of some kind for safety.
