Overview
You'll love this quiet, charming, oceanfront, restored 1920s cottage with updates on a private dirt road. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sea. You'll wake up each morning greeted by exceptional views of Cape Cod Bay, and possibly seals sunbathing on the nearby rocks. The private beach is accessible via stone steps next door, and a short walk on a country road brings you to two conservation beaches for walking and swimming. You may also escape to Cape Cod (the bridge is five miles down the road) or head up to historic Plymouth for the day. If you're a fan of early American history, Plymouth is the perfect getaway! Visit Plimoth Plantation, a replica of the original village first settled in 1620. Don’t forget Plymouth Rock and the replica of the Mayflower soon to be returning. Situated in Pilgrim Memorial State Park, the rock is believed to be the spot where the Pilgrims first stepped foot on American soil. A ship- and rope-building mecca in the 19th century, Plymouth today boasts myriad historical sites, colonial architecture, shopping venues, and over 400 restaurants. The cottage is also five miles from the Sagamore Bridge, so you can also enjoy Cape Cod's beaches, quaint seaside villages, and wonderful seaside restaurants. THINGS TO KNOW New for 2024: new mattress on the queen bed! The fireplace is purely decorative. No parties or events. This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning.

Loved this house. It was spotless and tranquil. We saw seals and a heron from our bed in the master suite. We stayed when there was light ice on the deck and we were still warm enough inside. I would definitely stay here again. Heads up: the stairs are a bit steep so I wouldn't bring very elderly people here. Also the upstairs bathroom door has a sliding door that leaves at the top which doesn't block sound but the downstairs bathroom is super private.
This was the most beautiful, peaceful place I have ever stayed. There were seals and loons and a swan playing in the bay, and kingfishers in the Salt marsh behind us!
Historic little cottage just the right size for a couple or small family. Definitely drive an SUV, though. The unpaved path is getting rough with potholes and is very rustic. There were about a half dozen seals on the rocks right off the beach at low tide making for some great mornings at sunrise.
Lovely quaint cottage right on the bay. Picture window in the bedroom with a sunrise view of the bay is an amazing way to wake up. Lots of areas to relax and enjoy the ocean views and sounds. We truly loved it!
Great place; you might want to only drive in with an SUV! Amazing view and the house itself lives up to the photos. I truly enjoyed my stay here.
This was a very nice property with a great view of the cape cod bay. One bedroom faces the ocean with a beautiful morning view. Overall this is a nice location to work as a “home base” for families taking a vacation on the coast. A few cons include outdated beds, a mice problem, and limited access to the beach on the property. The beach is very rocky and weedy, with access to the beach being limited to low tide. I wouldn’t expect to go swimming at the beach here. The beds leave a lot to be desired, very loud and uncomfortable, wouldn’t plan to stay longer than a few nights. There is a problem with mice, so plan to bring a cooler of some kind to keep your non-refrigerated foods safe. Overall a beautiful property, could just use a little bit of work from the owners to be great!
