The location of the home was ideal for walking to anything in Oak Bluffs or to catch buses. Many things in the home need updating, electrical outlets being at the top of the list. 2 bathrooms were good, but only one has a shower.
The house is in a prime location in Oak Bluffs. It is very close to stores, restaurants and churches.
Upon our arrival at Grandma House (131 Circuit Ave, Oak Bluff) felt like a needle in a haystack because the house number was hidden in the tall grass landscape and our Uber driver drove pass the home three times. Once we arrived inside the layout was cute but a strong moldy smell over powered the entire home. The back door was unlocked, two or three of the side windows were unable to lock. The second level of the house was extremely hot 🥵 so we turned on the window units in two of the rooms. Room #2 ceiling seems to be water damaged and falling apart. Room #3 had rodent droppings in a small decorative dish on top of the dresser. Room #4 had a black feathers 🪶 under the bed. Room #6 (located on the main floor) had a young toddler shoe 👟 placed outside of the window. With all the issues that were found, management was called several times to assist and no one responded. We stayed the first night and checked out the next morning because taking turns sleeping on the main level for the next two nights were unacceptable. Our vacation was cut short because of our living conditions and no available rooms were left on the island during that weekend of the MVAAFF (Film Festival). We lost paid tickets to events since the last ferry leaves at 8:30 pm and our hotel was located on mainland. Two members including myself flew in from out of state and the others drove and had to change return flights. This was time visits for some of us, but this experience will not deter us from coming back to Martha’s Vineyard in the future.
My family and I loved our vacation at Seabreeze. As a parent, I wanted to make sure there was plenty of space. Everyone could spread out and have their own room, so the space and bedroom s all upstairs were fabulous. The comfort of AC was refreshing and comfortable. I also like to cook so having a full-size kitchen with all the supplies and amenities and utensils I needed worked out fantastic. The outside propane grill came in handy for grilling lunches. Location was ideal for my family. We have friends and family that all live in OB and after longs days at the beach or on the water we spend every night with a stroll down town. The private driveway for two cars was a saving grace! The outside shower was large clean and has fabulous water pressure. I must admit our favorite place is the front and back porches, for gathering chatting , laughing, and enjoying time together as a family! I also wanted to mention the owners and how kind and friendly they were to work with. I felt they were extremely genuine and helpful answering questions and responded very quickly. I highly recommend this lovely cottage! You won’t be disappointed!
Love how close this property was to the beaches, restaurants and shops! Would definitely return.
We had such a great time at this home. Very private yet steps to town. This home is highly recommended. Thanks!
