Sandbars Inn #12 - 2nd floor

Me and my wife came just for three days and had really good time The place is located right on the beach all balconies are looking directly at the ocean. It’s nice and quiet but if someone wants to eat out or walk around they can drive to Provincetown which is 10 min. away. I am sure we will come back next year

The hotel had a musty smell to it, the WiFi was spotty at best, and while it has nice views: I won’t be staying here again. We reached out about the atrocious wifi multiple times. We were told that “it was being taken care of” and the follow up by the Internet company was to recommend boosters throughout the property. Other than that we don’t feel like we were taken seriously. As a photographer it’s hard to stay caught up and do what I love without working internet. I had thought that once we had settled in I would do some research about different places to photograph after we had a good idea of where we were in terms of other places. Having poor WiFi made not only that impossible but trying to purchase tickets to a whale watch, or even finding spur of the moment activities was not possible without burning through data. On the surface the room seemed clean and tidy. But the bathroom not having a fan, running out of hot water five minutes into showers, and the lack of air flow made it obvious why the room smelled musty. This stay was jarring as last year we had a lovely time! We will not be returning back to this location for the future when we go on our annual vacation.

Honestly, the whole stay was great. The room was clean as was the property. The view excellent. The only issue I had was with the building manager. I encountered him twice and the first time he was helpful and congenial. At time of checkout I had back my vehicle close to the stairway as my rebook was on the second floor to pack the car. I backed up far enough to allow a truck to back out should it need to. The property manager was in the truck and came out an instantly started to reprimand me for “parking” there. I tried to explain I was just loading the car as we were leaving but he went on and on about blocking his truck in and again parking in front of the handicap ramp. Mind you this was early Saturday morning and no one else was even up or out. So I moved my vehicle to an open space as I had to Sherpa my bags across the parking lot. Until check out time this had been an excellent stay. The property manager needs some people skills and understand he is there for the customers Not the other way around.

My wife and I booked this trip for a long weekend getaway and we couldn’t have been more thrilled. Waking up to the beautiful ocean views and calm grounds was amazing. The on site property caretaker Rob was amazing to us. This is the perfect spot for anyone looking to melt away from your day to day and explore the beautiful beaches of Truro or the excitement of Provincetown.

Very nice room, very quiet space other than barking dog for a few hours. Great few night getaway.
