Lovells Landing

Clean, great location, comfortable

Lovells Landing was set in a great location, the lake was beautiful. The home was open and airy, nice deck space and grill. The home use a new coffee pot, the large one was tarnished. There is no ceiling fan in the bunk room(update pictures). The recliner needs to be fixed and all the big knives are pretty dull. Overall, we had a nice stay with exception of the invasion of cicada bugs unbeknownst to us😕

Although this home and property are beautiful in many ways, our experience at Lovells Landing was disappointing overall. We certainly enjoyed the open concept floor plan, the large screen TV, the secluded setting, and the beautiful views of the lake. At the same time, there were a number of small things that felt less than what we were expecting - paintings or artwork that had once graced the entry way had been taken down, leaving exposed nail holes and walls in need of a paint job. The cushions to the outdoor furniture were just awkwardly stacked in front of the fireplace and in the way of accessing some of the furniture in the room. The stairs down to the lake are not to be used, so lake access was down an incline, making it a bit tricky to get the kayaks to the lake and then back up again. The kitchen is adequate, but really not stocked with the pots and pans needed if you want to do some serious cooking. None of these things are really a big deal, but they just gave the property an unpolished vibe. What was a big deal is the fact that the air conditioning broke down mid-week in the midst of a heat wave and when we reported the issue to Vasca, we received some lip service but little apparent action and absolutely no information on what was being done to address the issue. As long time homeowners, we understand that things break down and take time to be fixed, but when we asked for updates on what was being done to address the issue, we were only told that this was a “high priority” and that “someone will reach out to you as soon as possible.” No one ever reached out to us - not a single person. The result? Precious vacation time feeling frustrated and two very uncomfortable nights of sleeping. Many of the windows in this house do not open - or if they do - they have no screens. With the cicada infestation, windows without screens simply could not be opened. That meant no fresh air into two of the three bedrooms to try to alleviate the stifling heat. Again, we understand things cannot always be fixed within a quick timeframe, but what would it have taken to reach out with an update or to say, hey, we’re really sorry for this inconvenience, we’ll drop off a few fans to try to make things more comfortable? It felt very much like the ball got dropped on this one. So all in all, a beautiful location, but not one we will return to and we leave this vacation with lots of doubts about Vasca where we previously had none.

loved everything about it

Lake view, lots of window, clean, central AC, comfy beds, nice appliances, washer and dryer, kayaks, big screen TV, quiet neighborhood.
