Overview
The perfect warm-weather vacation awaits at this canal-front, three-bedroom home, perfectly situated on a deep-water canal in Cape Coral! Cool tile floors throughout and calming blue and gray decor add to the spacious feeling of this one-level home. Begin your day with your beverage of choice on the covered lanai out by the pool. A ceiling fan above keeps everything cool while you contemplate the day. Hop into your pool for a few laps before breakfast, and then head inside once you start getting hungry. The well-equipped, open kitchen features stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, including a large island, and all the gadgets you need make meal prep a breeze. After breakfast, head out to explore Cape Coral, or hop back in that lovely pool. There’s also a pool table on hand if you’re more that kind of pool shark. This home also features a private dock on a deep-water canal with Gulf access, so you may prefer to explore by water. The dock can accommodate a boat up to 23 feet. At the end of the day, get comfortable as a group in the living room in front of the large flatscreen TV or use the sound dock to listen to some tunes. Can’t agree on what to watch? No problem, two of the three bedrooms also have flatscreen TVs, and the main suite also features direct lanai access. The best way to end the day, though, might be back out on the lanai, gathered around your fire table with frosty beverages in hand. Keep it simple and cook something for dinner on the gas grill while you plan for another great vacation day tomorrow. the house and pool were great
Private, quite, close to so many things to do. Very clean and comfortable. A±
Lovely location on the canal which was wonderful for wildlife and sunsets. The house was nicely furnished and bright. However there are so many little things that need to be addressed and would easily be fixed to make it a perfect stay. The pool area only has two zero gravity chairs, one of which is broken. The green patio cushions were disgustingly dirty, as was the lanai itself (it also has a few tears in it, letting bugs in). The pool cleaner entered the pool area without as much as a knock on the door. The kitchen lacked a kettle, corkscrew and placemats of any sort. The dishes and glasses were all old, scratched and stained plastic, and not even enough for the number of people that this place can hold. No real dishes or glasses. No coffee table. Bedding was all bally and old, but we did find some new sets which we opened and used. Master closet had no working lights, and one sink didn't drain properly in the ensuite. Fridge temp setting didn't work properly, keeping everything too cold and freezing half our fresh food. The bbq was lined with foil, not allowing the fat to drain and causing fires. Worst of all was the slow and sometimes non existent response to our concerns. All of these are easily fixed and should be for the price of this place.
The location was in a peaceful neighborhood and was a lovely spot. The interior was well laid out and it was nicely decorated and had a bonus game area complete with a pool table. I loved that there were two “bedroom wings”. The pool/outdoor area was lovely with a great canal view and the waterfall provided a very restful atmosphere. I gave four stars only because it wasn’t a total 5 star experience for us. A few minor negative things that we noticed : an unpleasant odor in the garage( tracked it down to a box of shells that many had live inhabitants that died in their shells), The refrigerator had some issues of fluctuating temperatures that caused some of our food to freeze partially- things we didn’t want frozen, ( a maintenance main came quickly to check it out, but couldn’t be remedied unless unplugged for severeral hours so housekeeping would take care of that after we left, the outdoor lounge chairs were comfortable to sit and read on, but if you are a person who likes to tan and flip over that could not be done ( I did find a pool inflatable that I laid on to handle that situation), the dishwasher worked well, but didn’t dry the dishes so I had to dry them before I put them away ( no biggie, but a pain. Was spoiled by my home unit that dried dishes well), and I noticed the comforter and sheets on the bed in the room I slept in ( flamingo room) were showing age-sheets were pilled, comforter ragged and even a rip on the edge. After the first week I changed the sheets to a newer set which were very nice to lay on. Those details took away from giving it a 5 star rating. Due to the plusses outweighing the little annoyances we would definitely come back again. Oh, we also had a bad Wi-Fi morning, but after rebooting it cleared up.
Here is my fully honest review- This house is an outstanding example of Cape coral living on a canal! The layout of the house, the corner end lot private position on the street, and the amenities all make for a really nice place. Everyone liked it alot. We were sad to leave! Some of our favorites: Airfryer, the pool table and games, drinking games, the outdoor space and all the really comfortable reclining chairs! This owner likes comfortable seating that's for sure! The downsides (minor don't let them discourage you) No icemaker/water at fridge, the pool heater experience (and total waste of time and money that was), the lack of access to garage parking, no bikes, and no towel bars to dry towels. I highly recommend this place and would book again- hope they work on those few items between now and then. Thank you host
Very nice house. At the end of the street, very quiet. Nice pool, huge barbecue. A perfect house for small families.
