Overview

The sunlight streams into this two-bedroom, oceanfront condo at The Pyramid, a beautiful home base for both adventure and relaxation in Ocean City. This lower-level condo was thoughtfully updated for the 2020 season, offering a renovated kitchen with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. Admire a gorgeous ocean view while dining or relaxing on the spacious, oceanfront balcony, and enjoy the company of free WiFi and cable TV (including HBO) each evening. The primary bedroom even features a king-size Sleep Number bed. The Pyramid is an Ocean City landmark, offering a unique architectural design and a prime location on the beachfront. Enjoy an outdoor swimming pool and an oceanfront deck on the grounds, as well as easy access to a shopping center and public tennis courts directly across the street. Here on Coastal Highway, you'll be within blocks of all sorts of restaurants, shops, conveniences, miniature golf courses, and nightlife. The 58-acre expanse of Northside Park is less than two miles north, while Fenwick Island is just over three miles north across the Delaware state line. THINGS TO KNOW A $40 non-refundable Pyramid registration fee (Cash Only) is required year round and is to be paid at the Pyramid at the time of check in. Additional parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for $20 per night (CASH ONLY). Please ensure to display any parking permit at all times. The $40 fee covers WEEKLY lengths of stays, for instance a guest staying 2 nights or 1 week will pay $40. A guest staying any amount of time OVER one week would then pay $80. No smoking Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

SO many good things about this condo! Beautiful! I loved the closeness to the beach, the pool was awesome, the balcony was comfortable, large, & CLEAN, having 2 bathrooms & laundry in the condo was great! The kitchen was very nice but could have a few more niceties for cooking like Teflon-safe spatulas & tongs & some actual dish cloths & a better quality dish soap, for sure! The oven's baking function didn't work, many of the dishes/pots & pans had a residue on them, so we had to wash all the dishes we used first. Very nice set up, though! The house was very clean, except, I think someone forgot to finish the showers because both had a scummy residue on all the chrome which I was able to easily clean off (that & the dishes residue). My biggest complaint is, I was not happy about the many check-in/ check-out procedures. So many emails/texts, I couldn't find the code to the after hours office box to get our condo keys. And, for the price of the condo & cleaning fee, I think the housekeepers should change the sheets and collect the trash and towels. Of course, we keep up with the trash and dishes during our time there but the last day has an earlyish check out & 2 places to return passes & keys to, plus they want you to strip the beds, collect all the trashes and take out to the trash chute, lower/raise the temperature, collect all the towels, start a load of sheets, & a load of dishes. These aren't that hard in themselves, but, isn't that what we're paying the housekeepers to do? I leave my places in better condition than when I came, so, I imagine the extra cleaning rules are for those who leave places in sloppy conditions? Even though we tried to prepare the night before, with a 10am check out, it was really scrambling to get the key back by that time. Not how you want to spend the last morning of your relaxing vacation, rushing around, cleaning, & stopping in 2 different places before getting on the road. Over all, we really enjoyed the middle party of our stay! Now that we know the ropes, it might not be as hard, if there is a next time, but, I still maintain, housekeeping needs to do the housekeeping. 🤷‍♀️ I will still recommend and hope to come back another time!
