The unit was adequate for our short stay. A beautiful view of the bay area and fairly close to North Park so there was a great view of the New Year’s Eve fireworks show.
The unit is clean and well equipped. Great location to a myriad of activities. The linen package makes it that much easier. Great space for us to enjoy each other’s company.
Felt like home
We had a blast and it was very cozy. Feedback: dryer barely dries clothes. And a lot of safety concerns. My toddler could fit through the railings on the balcony so we kept that door locked at all times. Also none of the windows had screens or railings. Being 9 stories up, that’s a huge concern.
We enjoyed our stay at this unit. It’s right on the beach so was convenient to grab our beach stuff from the car every morning (and also nice having an assigned parking space). The indoor pool was great and the library was a nice touch. We didn’t use any of the other amenities. However, there were a few things that the unit could use: the first being window coverings in the living room. The unit faces the bay where the sun sets so it’s blinding in the living room and dining room without blinds or curtains. It also means anyone could see right into the unit, day or night, with no privacy. Yes, it’s on the 9th floor but it faces a neighborhood and the water. There were no oven mitts/pot holders which proved to be a challenge when trying to get something out of the oven. The only kitchen “spice” available was flour: salt and pepper and cooking spray have almost always been available in other units we’ve rented. There were no instructions on how to use the combo washer/dryer but we figured it out by researching online. There wasn’t enough silverware for 3 people for two meals so we were washing dishes a lot. This isn’t important but there’s absolutely nothing on the walls in the master bedroom. A picture or two would make it way less bare and sterile. The unit was spacious and fairly clean (missed a few spots in places like the bathroom) and the building was clean and easy to access from the main road. We would stay there again.
The view of the bay is beautiful, especially at sunset, but if you want to see the sunrise you won't see it from the apartment. The building is right off the beach. But bring your own beach towels, only one set of shower towels per person is provided. There is a washer/dryer in the unit but it is small and takes 4 - 5 hours per load since it is combo washer/dryer. There are no blinds in the common areas. The game room is NOT free. There is a $75 weekly charge paid to the building Apartment was very clean. Cooking utensils provided but no foil, basic pantry staples, etc. Strict 10 am checkout. Overall we had a nice stay at the beach.
